Roman's POV

It was almost Virgil's birthday, he is turning four. My Dad took me shopping to find the perfect gift for him. We had gone to about five or six stores. And I couldn't find anything that Virgil would like, but I would keep looking until I found the perfect thing.

~~~~~
"Dad, I need to find something that's perfect for him." I told my Dad as we walked to the car, because this store had nothing either.
"We will find something. How about we try a store, that I think Virgil will go to once he's older" I didn't know what store my Dad was suggesting, but I was willing to try anything.
We drove around for about ten minutes before we came to a store called 'Hot Topic' it looked perfect for Virgil.
"Virgil would definitely love this store." I told my Dad. He picked me up, and then carried me into the store.
~~~~~

We looked around for a while, there was so much stuff, but I wanted to find the perfect thing for Virgil, he deserved it.

We looked at the clothes, but if I got clothes for Virgil he wouldn't be able to always wear it, I know he would grow out of it. We looked at some makeup, but my Dad said he was too young for it. We looked at some other things like a few Disney things, but he wouldn't like them as much as I would. And then, we finally stopped next to some stuffed animals. A little pink pig caught my eye. It needed a few touches, but other than that it was perfect. I grabbed for it, and examined it a little bit more.

"This. This is perfect for him." My Dad chuckled at me, and then we bought it.

~~~~~
After we got home I looked at the present I bought Virgil, I wanted to add my own touch. But what would I do. I sat there for a while thinking. And then it hit me.  I found the tag on the pig, and then wrote:
'I hope you have a wonderful birthday. I wish you the happiest of days, in your whole life. I also hope that we will always be friends.'
-Roman
Except I couldn't write, or spell, or read... So, I got my Dad to write it.
"That's very sweet Roman. Let's put it in the bag, and head over there." I nodded, I couldn't wait to see Virgil, I hadn't seen him all day because I was trying to find something for him.
~~~~~

I knocked on the door, and waited for someone to answer. And as soon as I saw Virgil open the door, I greeted him with smile, and a great big hug.

"Happy Birthday!!!" I screamed at him, he laughed a little, and then let go, he immediately grabbed my hand though and took me into the living room.

"Thanks." I placed down the present on the table that Virgil passed by. And then followed him until he plopped down on the couch, taking me with him.

"I feel like I haven't seen you in ages." Virgil complained, he turned his head to look at me.

"I feel the same way, but it's only been half a day." I told him with a smile.

I looked around the living room and saw all the decorations. There were purple streamers, a purple tablecloth on the table that had the gifts. There was a banner that said 'Happy Birthday' which was a lighter shade of purple. And then on the table that had been set out, there were some snacks like chips and dip, there was also some fruit and crackers, soda and the cups. And then in the middle of the table there was a white cake that had purple swirls around the edges. It also had four candles placed symmetrically.
