~Flashback~
Virgil's POV
Roman and I just got home from school from sixth grade, Patton had offered us cookies, so we were currently eating those.
"So what shall we do?" Roman asked.
"I don't know." I shrugged, I took another cookie.
"Want to just talk?" He suggested.
"Sure. How is life?" He giggled at my choice of words.
"Life is amazing at the moment, I am hanging out with you after all " I could tell that I was slightly blushing. I don't take to compliments well.
"How about you?" He asked me with a smile.
"Eh, life could be better."
"And why is that?"
"Im not telling you." He made an offended noise.
"Fine." I laughed at him, I swear sometimes he could act so stupid.

We talked for a while, maybe even hours. And we continued to talk, it was fun.
"So how is your art going?" He asked me, I smiled at him, he knew that I drew a lot.
"Good. I finished the last picture I was working on."
"That's amazing!" He brought me into a hug, causing both of us to giggle.
~~~~~
"Are you going into Theater in High school?" He asked another question.
"I don't know, maybe." A large smile appeared on his face.
"Really!" He was so cute when excited, I was actually thinking of joining theater. People say I can sing, I highly doubt that, I love musicals, and I would get to be with Roman.
"Yeah." His smile didn't leave the rest of the night when I told him that.
~~~~~
"Do you like anybody?" Now this question, this question made me go so red, and really quiet.
"So, is that a yes...?" He continued with a smirk on his face, I didn't say anything.
"You do! Who is it?" I still didn't answer.
"Who are you referring to?" My Dad had walked in with Patton right behind him.
"Virgil has a crush!" Roman jumped up.
"Oh. Do you know who he likes?" My Dad asked him.
"No. But I will get it out of him." Roman sounded so cocky.
"Good luck with that." Patton scoffed.
"Why do you say that? Do you know who it is? You told my Dad before you told me?" He turned to face me, I don't understand why he is so excited about this.
"M-maybe." I mustered to say.
"Why do you care so much?" I could speak again.
"Because...because you finally like someone, you're moving on." He sounded a little disappointed.
"Moving on from what?" Now he was being silent.
"Why don't you two just drop the subject? It's clearly making you both uncomfortable." My Dad suggested.
