Kindergarten Boyfriend

This is an almost 2 parter for the last chapter, but it takes place 3 years later. And they were spending another night with Joan and Thomas

Virgil's POV

I had woken up in the middle of the night. It was only 3:23 a.m. So I did what I aways do when I wake up this early. I got up, careful not to wake up Roman, or the other two. I zipped up my hoodie, and walked to the window. Roman's dining room had a little reading nook, so I sat there, like I do. Because I don't normally sleep.

I sat there for a while, just thinking. I wanted to know what the others did while I was sleeping. I just wanted to know. 

"What are you doing up?" I heard Roman ask me. I turned around to see Roman walking closer to me, with a blanket in his hands.

"I woke up a bit early, and couldn't sleep again." Its not like I tried though. He crawled up next to me, and put the blanket over the both of us, and then wrapped his arms around me. We stayed like that, just looking out the window without speaking words.

"So, do you do this often?" Roman asked me. I simply nodded and continued to stare out.

"I always wondered where you go off in the middle of the night." I didn't know that he was awake or aware that he knew I left him.

"I only come down here if I don't have 'Mr.Biggelsworth the 4th' because looking outside calms me." He didn't say anything, but it wasn't a big deal to me.

"Im sorry." I felt it was necessary to apologize to him. 

"Dont. Im glad I finally know that you aren't leaving me because of me, but because it calms you." I leaned into his hug even more. He felt so warm and comforting. I fell back asleep, and Im pretty sure he did too.

"Wake up you two. Why are you sleeping here? You were on the recliner." Patton was right next to us, smiling like always. I pulled the blanket over my head, and snuggled closer into Roman to shield my eyes.

"Im not going today." I told the two of them.

"And why is that?" Patton asked me,  crossing his arms.

"Because its too much effort." I complained, I heard Roman laugh at me, and then he flipped me over and I fell off the reading nook.

"Ow. Princey, why would you do that." I sat up and stared at him. He was laughing harder than he was before.

"Its not funny." I stood up and looked at everyone. Thomas and Joan were already up and dressed. Patton was also dressed, and my Dad was in the kitchen cooking breakfast.

Five minutes later everyone was dressed, and we were sitting at the dinning table eating breakfast.

"How did you all sleep?" Patton asked us.

"Good." We all four said in unison, causing all of us to laugh. 

"Where were you two? I didn't see you in the living room when we woke up." Thomas told us as he finished up eating. 

"We moved. I hope we didn't scare you." I apologized. I hated when I made people feel bad.

"We weren't scared. I knew nothing bad happened." Joan laughed at me. 

"He was just making sure." My Dad told them. I smiled up at him, and saw that he was smiling too.
