Jade. A normal girl from Denver, Colorado. She has friends and a loving family who support everything she does. She's popular, smart, pretty, and has everything going right in life. The school heartthrob asks her out. She agrees. She opens up to him completely, telling him her thoughts, secrets, fears, and wishes. He listens and gets her naive heart to attach to his. Two months into their relationship, he gets her to sleep with him. She gives her virginity to him; the boy she thinks is the one. The next day, rumours are spread about her all over the school. He told everything to everyone, even making up lies about their sex. She is in ruins. After nearly a month of dealing with the pain, bullying, harassment, and depression, her family makes the decision to move away from it all. All the way to Australia. She's no longer popular at her new school. She's the new girl with a funny accent. She's built up her walls so high and strong that she comes off as rude and weird all because she won't talk to people. She's afraid of being hurt again. She befriends another outcast; Ashton. They become inseparable but there's not love connection. He takes her to meet his band where she meets Michael. She feels an instant connection with him and he with her. They know they love each other, it's obvious to anyone around them. Michael makes constant moves on her and always flirts with and complements her. She refuses to act on it though. She turns down his offers to go on dates. All because her walls are built so high. She doesn't want to get hurt by a boy again. Michael makes it his goal to break the walls, and get her to accept their love.
