CHAPTER 3: FIRST DAY

Jessie's POV

*Beep, beep, beep, beep!-*

"Ugh, what now?" I reached out to grab my alarm clock. I pressed snooze and rolled back over. "Why is it set so earl- OH SHIT SCHOOL!" I quickly got up and looked at my phone. 7:00. "I have time." I had to be at school at 8:00.

I got up and went downstairs to see my dad sitting in a chair sleeping, or more like passed out. I poked his face he snored. "Yup, he's out."

I walked to the kitchen and grabbed a bag of mini muffins. I walked back upstairs and ate the muffins. I brushed my hair, leaving it down, and then I brushed my teeth.

Then, I walked back into my room and opened up my closet door looking for what to wear. I grabbed a white tank top and put a thin black vest over it. I put on a pair of shorts and put on eyeliner. I walked over to my mirror and nodded at my appearance, grabbing a pair of socks and converse high tops.

I grabbed my bag and phone, looked at it to see it was 7:43, and walked downstairs to see my dad was still asleep. I went over to the door, put on my helmet, and got my keys, walking out to my bike.

Once I got to the school I saw a blue jeep, which I parked three spaces away from. I took off my helmet and shook my head, ridding myself of the helmet hair. I heard whistles as I walked past. Of course. People are such pigs, I thought.

I walked in to see it as any other school. I had no idea where the principle's office was so I could get my schedule. I walked over to two guys, one with a buzz cut and the other with longish helmet hair. I heard them start to talk in a quieter tone when I walked towards them.

I asked shyly, "Um, do you guys know where the principle's office is?" The one with buzz cut nodded and tried to say something, but it came out as stutters.

The one with the helmet hair adjusted his bag and said, "Down the hall, take a right, then take a left and it will be right there."

"Thanks." I mumbled.

"I'm Scott and this is Stiles."

"Jessie." I mumbled again. I walked off without another word. I hated how I acted around people. I could be nervous and shy one minutes, and the next I could be full of confidence. It's one of my many flaws, sadly.

I walked to my right then to my left. I come to a door with a sign next to it that reads PRINCIPLE'S OFFICE. I opened the door and I walked in, only to be greeted by an older lady. "How can I help you?" she questions.

"I'm a new student, Jessie Bishop."

"Oh, of course! Jessie!" The women looked up and handed my a sheet of paper, "Here is your schedule."

I smiled at her and looked out the window, seeing the same red eyes. This time they weren't moving, they were just there.

"You should probably start heading to class soon, it starts in two minutes." I nodded and looked back to see nothing. I just shook my head and headed for my first class.

"You know, Jessie, your eyes are just playing tricks on you. Ugh, there aren't any red eyes, what would be out there with red eyes?"

"Uh, are you okay?" I Iooked up to see the kid I was talking to before, Scott. I also realized I was talking to myself.

"Um, yeah, I'm fine. I was just talking to myself." I walked past him in search of my first class.

I looked down to see it was chemistry with Mr. Harris, room 114. I walked in, making it in just before the teacher did. I was grateful, since now he didn't need to introduce me. I sat at the seat in the very back, and thankfully had no one next to me.
