Chapter 11

     When Betty, Archie, and Veronica pulled up at the Whyte Wyrm, they ran behind the bar. Everyone was there. Toni, Cheryl, Kevin, even Moose. "Where's Jug?" Veronica asked Toni. "I don't know. We've been waiting for so long. Fp should be back by now." And just then, as if Toni's words had cursed the scene, came Fp from out of the forest. As he grew closer, Veronica heart shattered. In the arms of Fp lay a seemingly lifeless body. Jughead. Veronica fell to the floor. Gasps from everywhere broke the silence. "Veronica!" Archie yelled, holding her in his arms. "No! No! No! It can't be him! It can't!" Veronica screamed. Betty picked up her phone and dialed 9-1-1. Serpents gathered around Fp and lifted Jug from his arms. Cheryl held Toni tight as she sobbed into her shoulder. Veronica felt tears fall from Archie's eyes onto her head as she felt her heart shatter. She couldn't breathe. Jughead was her only escape from everything. He had made her feel things no one else could. She loved him, and she pushed him away. As all of these thoughts rushed through her head, Veronica felt her body become weaker. And then it all turned black.

     As Veronica opened her eyes, she was shocked to find herself laying in a hospital bed. Then, last night flooded through her brain and it sent her into tears again. Her crying woke a sleeping Archie on a chair next to her who held her hand. "It's okay Ronnie" Archie soothed. Veronica sobbed. "It's my fault. I hate my dad! I want to see Jug!" Veronica said. "I'm here babe" Archie replied. Nurses came rushing in and pushed Archie out of the room. Veronica felt a sharp sensation in her left arm and was sent into a deep sleep.
