Almost Lover (Jeronica Fanfiction)

Chapter 13

     "Ms. Lodge!" A stern voice called. Veronica looked up. Mr. Sanchez, Veronica's history teacher. "Sorry" she replied, putting her phone down. But Veronica could not pay attention. The only thing on her mind right now was Jughead. She knew it was wrong for her to fall for her best friend's boyfriend/boyfriend's best friend. But how could she ignore it? Veronica didn't want to lose Archie, or Betty. And even though she loved them both, they had betrayed her. And Jughead never had. He was always there for her. Thinking about it made Veronica smile.

    Later that afternoon at lunch, Veronica sat next to Archie and Kevin. "Guys my parents are going out of town tonight which means party at my place!" announced Archie. "Sounds fun!" Betty exclaimed. "Yeah" said Jughead sarcastically. "Come on Jug it'll be fun." soothed Betty. "I'm in" added Veronica. "You know what? I'm suddenly in the mood to party" said Jug. "We'll be there, fashionably late as always" said Cheryl, walking away with Toni. Veronica smiled. "This should be fun" Veronica said happily.

     "The party has now started!" announced Cheryl, barging in through the door and hour late. "Where's the keg?" asked Reggie. "In the back" replied Archie, smiling. The teens were happy as ever, dancing to the music that blared through the Andrews' home. Shots were taken, lipstick was smudged, and heels were kicked off into a pile near the couch. Everyone who was anyone was there, even Chuck, who had been invited as a test by Betty to see how he would act under alcohol. And as the night wandered on, the party lessened. Couples who had not entered together now went home to continue their romances. Left over were our favorites: Veronica, Jug, Betty, Archie, Reggie, Cheryl, Toni, Kevin, Chuck, Josie, Fangs, and Sweetpea stayed behind.

     They all made their way into Archie's living room and took ownership of couches and chairs, some sat on the floor. "I say we wrap up the night with a game" suggested Veronica. "Truth or Dare! Duh!" announced Cheryl. "Could be fun" added Josie. "I'll go first" said Sweetpea. Everyone turned to him. "Betty. Truth or dare?" Sweetpea asked. Jughead payed attention. "Dare" said Betty, shocking everyone. Sweetpea smiled. "Let me spend 7 minutes in that closet with you" he suggested. Toni snickered. "Fine" Betty said. "What?" Veronica pulled at Betty's arm. "It's fine, Vee" Betty urged. Jughead gave Veronica a look of concern. Veronica sighed as Sweetpea lead Betty off into the Andrews' coat closet.

"Who's next?" asked Chuck. "I nominate Josie" said Kevin. "Alright, Josie" said Chuck. "Kiss someone in this room." This made eyes turn. Toni pulled Cheryl close. Josie walked right up to Archie. What the fuck? Thought Veronica. But then boom. Josie leaned in and kissed Reggie. "Damn Josie. I might have to hit you up" replied Reggie. Chuck leaned down in his seat. Archie turned his head towards his coat closet amd then back at Veronica. "I'll go next" announced Cheryl. Everyone turned their attention towards Cheryl. "Jughead" Cheryl said. Jughead looked up at her. "I dare you to kiss Veronica"

ok i'm loving where this is going!! btw - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 3K VIEWS🧡 ya'll have no idea how much that means to me. i know i don't update as often as i should  but i'm a really busy girl. i'm currently in barcelona, spain where it's 2am but i've got jet lag so it feels like 8pm for me. i leave tomorrow for a week long cruise so i'm going to try to write one more chapter today b4 leave so i'm not leaving you with this cliffhanger for an entire week. btw, thoughts on these longer chapters?? would u prefer them like this or with 2 paragraphs? anyways - i love u with all of my heart!! xo, julia💕
