Why do I never listen to my dad?

My orientation skill sucks!

Getting lost seems to have become my new job these days, and I'm really not liking it.

Somebody help!

Stranger, I need your help.

Please Aiyappa, give this message to that hot stranger who hasn't left my mind since- to be exact- 10 days 15 hours and some seconds which I'm too lazy to count.

I close my eyes and join my hands in front of my face, "Dear Stranger,
Can you please come and help me? I'm lost again. I need your help, ASAP.
Thank you.
  -Nandini xoxo"

I open my eyes and sigh heavily before looking at the unknown street I'm standing on.

Why on earth dad had to send me grocery shopping, now? And that too alone.

I kick my foot on the floor and whine like a three years old kid who wants his favourite chocolate.

I look up at the dark blue sky filled with heavy clouds, "Aiyappa, send the request fast na, I need that stranger." I walk a little bit and spot a rock where I can sit and wait.

Just as I was about to take a step forward, a red car comes in my view coming from the far end.

I grin and run to the middle of the road and start waving my hands in the air. I wouldn't be surprised if they thought I'm a freak who's doing a weird dance.

But to my surprise that car comes to a halt just a step away from me, and to my surprise, no one shouts, instead a young guy opens the door, "Are you lost?"

I nod my head up and down, when he shakes his head looking at the floor, "Do you need lift?"

I grin at him, bobbing my head again, "Yes, please. I'll always be greatful to you."

He chuckles and, signals to the other side of the car, "Get in."

I take a step forward, but halt my steps, making the guy furrow his eyebrows in confusion.

I point my index finger to him and give him the most serious expression I can, "Listen, even though I look so small, keep in mind that I know karate. So if you try anything, I won't hesistate to leave you without the ability of making babies."

That guy widens his eyes in shock at first, but the other second he bursts out laughing.

Does he think I'm joking?

When he's done laughing, he wipes some tears in the corner of his eyes, whilst I cross my arms over my chest, "Done?"

"So-sorry. It's just you're damn funny-" He doesn't complete his sentence, but mutters the other part of the sentence to himself.

"What did you say?" I ask loudly and he looks up, biting his toungue in the process.

He closes the car door and comes out taking his goggles off, when I notice his eyes are the same colour as the Stranger, yet not that deep, neither beautiful.

Stop thinking about him!

I got so lost in my thoughts, that I didn't even notice that the car guy is standing two feets away from me.

My reflects are quite quick to react, so the first thing I do is punch his nose hard.

"Fuck!" He shouts and jumps back on his feet holding his nose, which starts bleeding seconds after.

"Told you to not to try anything, or you're gonna pay. See, you should've listened to me." My words seem to pass above that guy's head as keeps holding his nose along with growling in pain and muttering curse words.

"Do you have a water bottle?" I see him furrowing his eyebrows, before lifting his keys up to me.

I unlock the car and quickly grab the bottle laying in the middle of the front seats.

I shut the door with a little bit of force, mentally wishing he hears that sound and gets a little more scared.

I walk back to him, "Put your hand down and I'm going to pour some water on your nose then look up and the sky and try to inhale."

He does as told and I reapeat the process again, when his nose finally stops pouring blood on the floor.

Once he's able to stand back on his feet, "You're dangerous, man. How the hell does Manik cope up with you?"

I lift my eyebrows in confusion, "Who is Manik?"

If I'm not wrong, I just saw him biting his inner cheeks and tongue, before joining his hands in front of me, "Nothing ma'am. Now can we please go."

I know he's hiding something, but why the hell do I care, so shrugging off that, "Are you still willing to take me?"

He chuckles, but more likely a sad one, "I have to, or else I'll be killed." I can bet, I heard him muttering Manik something under his breath.

"Let's go?" I nod my head and hand him the water bottle, when he signals to my hand which holds his keys.

I give them to him, "After you."

He unlocks the car from behind and I hop in the passenger seat with him following me and sitting on the driver's seat.

Once settled, he starts the car and in no time we're speeding off the road with me telling him an adress of a park a few blocs away from my home.

I can't just tell a stranger my adress.

. . .

Cabir-- who's name I figuered while talking about random stuff-- stops the car just where I told him to, making me give him a bright smile and thanking him a million times before getting out of the car.

"It's fine Nandini." He gives me a small smile which I mirror, before speeding off to wherever he was going, "See you around. Bye."

I walk off to my house door and get my keys out of my jeans pocket, mentally preparing myself to receive a lecture from dad.

I insert the key in the hole and twist it, leaving a huff before completely opening the door.

The silence inside is disturbing and, honestly, I'm not getting good vibes from it.

"Dad? Mom?" I gulp the lump in my throat and take slow steps towards the living room, praying this to be a prank.

When I reach there, I'm met with the least thing I had been expecting.

The floor slips beneath my feet seeing the scenario, a muscular man wearing all black clothes, is pointing a gun on dad's head while my mom is held by another muscular man.

Please Aiyappa, tell me this is a bad dream.
