Maddie
I woke up Saturday morning, and threw on some grey sweatpants and a black crop top that says "not your girl" in cursive writing over the heart. I quickly put my hair up in a messy bun with pieces hanging in front of my face. Putting on some mascara and smudging it a little, I looked in the mirror. Nodding once, I turned to go find some shoes. Sliding on some black wedges with white laces, I made my way down to the common room.
"Um.... What happened to my friend who only wears colourful things....?" Pansy questioned, looking me up and down.
I shrugged. "I've changed." I mumbled.
She snorted. "More like you're pissed at Draco and don't feel like wearing happy colours." She smirked.
I rolled my eyes. "That too." I sighed, making my way to the portrait. "Walk to breakfast with me?"
She nodded, grabbing my arm and walking beside me.
We sat down at the Slytherin table, and I grabbed a muffin. Chewing it slowly, I looked over at Harry. Quickly averting my gaze when I saw he was glaring at me. I snorted when Pansy gave him the finger and stuck her toungue out at me.
Draco slowly sat down in front of Pansy, looking me up and down. I glared at him intesely when he met my eyes. He quickly looked away.
Rolling my eyes I took another bite of my muffin.
Downing the rest in one bite, I reached for another, but so did Draco. Our hands touched and we looked into each other's eyes. I could feel the butterflies in my stomach and didn't want to pull away, but I did. Retracting my hand quickly, I reached for a croissant instead. I looked up, and Draco looked hurt, but he hurt me, so I didn't feel sorry.
Draco
I walked into the Great Hall and the first thing I saw was Maddie. Not only did was she wearing something dark, but she physically looked....sad. She wasn't smiling, or talking with Pansy it Blaise. Her skin didn't glow a healthy orange, but instead she was pale, her eyes hollow.
I scowled, beating myself up for ruining her.
Slowly I walked over and sat across from Pansy. Looking Maddie up and down, I met her gaze and she gave me an intense glare, looking away quickly I reached for a muffin. But Maddie did as well.
As our hands touched, we looked into each other's eyes, I could feel the sparks flying. But as abruptly as it had started, it was over. Maddie pulling away quickly and reaching for a croissant instead. I'm sure the hurt was visible on my face.
Pansy cleared her throat. "So, Maddie, what are you going to do today? We only have 3 days left until summer after all." She smiled.
Maddie shrugged, taking another bite. "I don't know. I'll find something I'm sure." She said blankly.
Pansy frowned, giving me a look as if to say "you did this to her." Which was very much true.
"Maybe I'll just hang out with Hermione." She continued.
Pansy nodded slowly.
Maddie sighed, pushing her plate away. "I'm going to take a walk" she said, standing up.
Then, she was gone.
I groaned, shaking my head.
"Draco what the hell are you doing you idiot! Go after her you shithead!" She whisper-yelled.
I looked up at her, debating the outcomes.
1. I fix things. The best option obviously.
2. I make things worse.
3. I get a black eye.
Shrugging, I take one last bite of my muffin.
"Oh what the hell." I sighed standing up. Giving a small nod to Pansy as I went after Maddie.
I ran after Maddie, spotting her down the hall.
I grabbed her arm and pulled her around to face me.
Glaring at me she moved to pull away.
"Just hear me out okay?" I asked pleadingly.
She closed her mouth and nodded once, crossing her arms.
I let out a breath. "I'm sorry. I'm so so so sorry. I shouldn't have kissed you while you were with Potter, that was foolish of me and I know he could treat you better than I can. And I just wanted you so badly that I just went for it. And I apologise. But the truth is, this past year, I've fallen in love with you Maddie, and I just-" she put her finger to my lips.
"Kiss me" she whispered.
She didn't have to tell me twice. I put my lips to hers, putting my hands on either side of her face. Hers went around my neck. We stayed like that for a few minutes, before stopping for breath.
Breathing heavily, she put her forehead against mine, smiling.
"I love you too Draco." She mumbled.
I smiled. "Be my girlfriend." I said quickly. It wasn't a question really, more of a demand.
She smiled, pulling back a bit.
"Hmmmmmmmm..." She smirked, tapping her lips as if she was thinking.
I gave her puppy dog eyes and she laughed, swatting my shoulder.
"Okay, okay." She smiled, kissing me once more.
I pulled away, and smirked. "Also, I like the new style." I winked.
Laughing, she shook her head. "I do too." She said as she leaned into my chest.
Maddie
I stopped Draco from continuing by putting a finger to his lips.
"Kiss me" I whispered.
And he did just that. We kissed for a few minutes before pulling away to breathe.
"I love you too Draco." I let out.
He smiled.
"Be my girlfriend." He said.
"Hmmmmmmmm....." I said, pretending to think.
When he gave me puppy dog eyes I couldn't help but laugh, hitting his shoulder playfully.
"Okay, okay." I smiled, kissing him again.
He pulled away and I restrained myself from frowning. He smirked at me, "Also, I like the new style." He winked.
I laughed, "me too" I replied, leaning against his chest.
And with that we walked back to the Great Hall hand in hand.
Sitting down across from Pansy and Blaise, Pansy scowled, slapping five galleons into Blaise's outstretched hand. He smirked and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
I laughed, "You guys bet on us?!" I shook my head.
"Wellllll....." Blaise started, "I bet on you, Pansy bet against you." He smirked.
I rolled my eyes, leaning my head onto Draco's shoulder.
