I pulled my jacket tighter around me as I slid my key into Danny's door. The door unlocked and I slowly pushed it open, unsure if Danny was already asleep or not.

He was sitting on the couch sipping from a bottle of water. His sparkly brown eyes looked over at me and he smiled. "Hey Juliet," he greeted as he moved over to make room for me on the couch.

"Hey Dola." I placed my bag on the ground and sat down next to him. "Great game tonight. That last touchdown you got was outstanding."

He smiled and reached over, where he placed a hand on my thigh. "That was just for you, Hun," he said with a wink.

I giggled and leaned into his touch. "Thanks, Danny," I whispered. I scooted over and rested my head on his shoulder.

"How was your interview," he asked after a second.

I tensed, and my breath hitches at the question. "I-I... It went fine," I mumbled. I wanted to say 'afterwards not so much', but I couldn't. I couldn't tell Danny what an asshole his friend was being.

But in the end, he really wasn't an asshole... he was just looking out for Danny.

"But what? What'd Jules do," Danny quickly asked, concern swimming in his voice.

I shook my head and turned my face into his chest, not wanting to answer. "Juliet, what'd Julian do," he questioned as he brought an arm around me and held me tight.

I shook my head. "Nothing. He's a great guy," I replied into his chest. He was extremely warm.

Danny let out a sigh. "Come on Juliet. I knew something was up when he requested the interview on Friday," he grumbled, his chest vibrating.

I pulled away and met his chocolatey brown eyes. "He requested the interview? With me?"

He clenched his jaw. "Yeah. The dumbass did it right after I told him you'd be staying with me for a while," Danny mumbled. "Now, what'd he say to you?"

I squinted up at him before I swallowed and shook my head. "He's just trying to look out for you, Danny," I told him and pulled from his grip.

Danny sucked in a breath. "What did he do, Juliet?"

I shrugged. "He told me not to hurt you," I mumbled.

Danny groaned. "Can't he ever stay out of anyone's business?"

"It's okay, Danny," I quickly jumped in and put a hand on his knee. "It's no big deal."

"No, it is! He doesn't listen! Did he hurt you," he asked with wide eyes.

I rolled my eyes. "Of course he didn't. But why did he tell me not to hurt you," I questioned with my eyebrows furrowed.

Danny sighed and grabbed my hand, worry present on his face. "He knows about our history. He thinks you're just here for the sex," he mumbled and shook his head.

I shook my head. "No way, Danny. While that is a bonus, if you'd like to... No, never. To use someone for sex is wrong," I whispered and looked into his eyes lovingly.

He didn't say anything. The next thing I knew was his lips were pressed to mine and his large hands were tangled in my hair. I wrapped my arms behind his neck and deepened the kiss as he pressed his growing erection against my thigh.

When we pulled back to catch our breaths, his lust filled brown eyes looked back at me. "You looked so good in my jersey," he mumbled as he leaned in to press his lips to mine. There was fire in his eyes. "Why aren't you still wearing it?"

I rolled my hips and pulled him closer to me. "I couldn't be bias during an interview," I whispered. I leaned in and bit his earlobe softly.

He tugged at my hair a bit more and hummed. "You're so beautiful. You should've been bias," he growled.

I giggled and ran a hand through his dark hair. "And why's that Mr. Amendola," I asked, licking across his jawline.

He leaned into my touch as his beautiful brown eyes continued to look down at me. "You're mine now."

I pulled away with wide eyes as I raised my eyebrows. "Am I now," I asked, amused.

"Of course," he whispered as he leaned back in and placed another soft kiss on my lips. "As long as you live under this roof."

"Tempting."

His hands left my hair and moved down to my hips, where his warm hands moved under the hem of my shirt, and began to slide it up slowly.

I arched my back, making it possible for him to pull it up. He briefly broke this kiss to pull it over my head, then pushed his lips back to mine.

My hands moved down his muscular back, then drifted around his sides and up to the collar of his buttoned up shirt. I got one button undone without breaking the kiss, but the second proved to be a problem.

I broke the kiss and let out a huff. Danny's hands began to explore my skin with his lips, stopping at my collarbone where he lightly bit it. I let out a groan of pain and pulled at his shirt, popping a few buttons.

He didn't flinch, just placed soft kisses where he had just bitten. I pulled at the rest of his buttons, and slowly slid the shirt down his tanned, muscular, arms as he unlatched my bra.

"Danny," I moaned as my hands moved up and grasped his biceps.

"Am I better," he asked, suddenly pulling away. His brown eyes looked up at me, wide and curious.

Any bit of lust that was shooting throughout my body, stopped just like that. I squinted and looked at Danny with a confused expression. "What," I asked, my hands grasping his biceps a little tighter.

He let out a sigh and slowly crawled off of me. I sat up and looked at him with my eyebrows furrowed as I held my bra over my breasts.

His brown eyes now had... fright in them...

He looked away and shook his head. "Am I better than Gene," he asked quietly.

"Why would that matter, Danny," I asked with wide eyes.

"I-I..." He just shook his head again and stood up. "I'm sorry." He moved toward his room before I could register what was happening.

"What the fuck," I called as I let out as huff and stood up. I made my way to the guest room, trying to wrap my head around what just happened.

Why would he need to be better than Gene? What would he need to be better than Gene at?

My head was spinning, and I really needed sleep. Besides, I needed to be in the office at six.
