A week has past since i've seen the Why Don't We boys. I've been very busy, as my parents said yes to living in LA for the rest of the summer. Zach texted me offering a room in their house, which I hesitantly agreed to. Today, I move into my new room that i'll share with Daniel and Jack. Zach says that they're all excited to see me more, which I know means Corbyn, Daniel, Jack, and Zach, not Jonah. I'm most nervous to be living in the same house as Jonah after what happened between us a week ago. I don't know how i'm going to completely hide my feelings for him, and how i'm going to fake feelings for Daniel. I love Daniel as a friend, but my feelings for him are only feelings of friendship.

                                         ~
I knock on the door around noon, waiting for someone to answer the door. Daniels face appears behind the door and his face lights up.
"Emma! I'm so glad you're staying with us!" I smile at him and say, "Im happy too."
Daniel grabs my suitcase-ever the gentleman- and leads me up to our room. Jonah comes around the corner of the stairs and surprisedly says, "Oh, Emma. Hey."
"Hi," I say with a cold tone, still annoyed at Jonah.
I start to walk past him but he grabs my arm.
"Can I talk to you in my room?" I don't glance back as I say, "I don't feel like it right now."
He doesn't say anything else as I follow Daniel into our room.
Daniels quiet for a few seconds before he says, "Did something happen between you and Jonah, because that was pretty intense."
"Um... I kind of walked in on him... and another girl..." I can feel my eyes start to tear up again and i wipe them with my sweatshirt sleeve.
"I thought you two were going to get together," he reply's slightly confused.
"So did I."
"I'm sorry Em. I can talk to him about it if you want." I smile at Daniels kindness.
"That's very sweet, but I'm okay. If we were meant to be together he wouldn't be running around with other girls while flirting with me." He nods and says, "I agree."
"I just wish there was a way I could know if Jonah still cares about me." Daniels about to say something when I blurt out, "Daniel! I have an idea!"
"What is it?" He says skeptically.
"What if we fake date? Like in the movies." I pause watching his face. "If it makes Jonah jealous," I continue, "I'll know if he still cares about me."
"Are you sure Emma? It might backfire..."
"I'm not sure, but it's worth a try right?"
"Okay...."
"Thank you, Daniel." He smiles at me genuinely happy and says, "I went out with this really amazing girl a few days ago, so I have to tell her about our plan okay? She's the only one besides us that will know."
"Okay," I agree.
"What should we plan first?" I ask.
"We have to 'tell' the others," Daniel says mischievously.

                                         ~
Daniel and I walk into the kitchen hand in hand, our first idea.
"Everyone, we have an announcement," Daniel says triumphantly.
"What's with the hand holding bro," Corbyn says with a wink. That gets the other boys attention, and 3 more pairs of eyes drift towards us.
Jack and Zach smile, but Jonah's face is emotionless as he waits for us to explain.
"Emma and I are together," Daniel says.
"I knew it!" Corbyn gives Jack a five dollar bill for their supposed 'bet' and says, "Dang. But it's pretty fresh that you're dating."
"I'm happy for you guys," Zach says.
"Me too," Jack adds with a smirk.
Everyone turns to Jonah who has stayed silent, expecting him to answer.
"Yeah, what they said," he responds leaving the table. He rounds the corner into the living room and flips on the t.v. I smile to myself. The first step of the plan succeeded, as we got a reaction out of Jonah.
"Thanks guys," I say. "I'm happy you are all okay with this."
"Some of us are..." Jack responds looking into the living room.
"I'm going to go watch some t.v," I blurt. Everyone watches me, but stays put as to not interfere.
I walk into the living room and plop onto the couch next to Jonah. He doesn't acknowledge me, so I say, "What's up with you?" This time he looks into my eyes and coldly says, "Nothings 'up' with me." I frown at his lack of honesty.
"You've been moody since I got here. Can we go back to when we were actually friends and you didn't avoid me?" Jonah scoffs.
"I only avoided you today because you were mad at me." That is a fair point for him to make. I'm about to apologize when he says, "And what's up with you and Daniel? I didn't know you two were... into each other."
"Maybe you would have known if you spent less time macking on random lips and more time listening to your friends." He doesn't respond, so I pull myself off the couch and leave Jonah sitting alone.
I re-enter the kitchen, earning curious glances from the other guys.
"What happened?" Daniel asks curiously. I
debate an answer.
"Just Jonah being Jonah," I settle on. I walk
to the fridge to grab a water.
"That's very vague Em," Corbyn says with a laugh. "We need the deets!"
I smile at Corbyn and say, "Feel free
to ask him, you'd probably get more
information than me."
