The door bell rings, and I pop off the couch to answer it.
I grab the Chipotle bag from the Post Mates guy, running back into the living room.
"Harry Potter marathon?" I ask holding up the food.
"You know me so well," Jonah says shaking his head.
When we are settled into our seats with our food, I press play on the first Harry Potter.
"I love this movie," Jonah whispers between bits of food.
I smile and reply, "Me too."
When we get to the sorting hat part, I whisper, "I'm such a Ravenclaw."
"I'm a Gryffindor," Jonah replies dreamily. I can't help but grin at his lack of shame for being the biggest Potterhead of all time.
"I never told you this," I say turning to Jonah, "but I really love your Deathly Hallows necklace."
Jonah puts his fingers to it and says, "I love it too." He turns to me- our faces so close- and for a second, I think he might kiss me. When Jonah turns away I retreat back to my spot with hot cheeks.
'You have to stop getting your hopes up' I tell myself, focusing my eyes ahead.

After completing all 8 Harry Potter movies, I turn the t.v off. We watched the movies all night, and then into the morning.
"I can't believe we watched all of them," Jonah says in a sort of haze.
"I know," I say laughing slightly. "That was a commitment."
"Thank you for keeping me company," Jonah says suddenly- completely serious.
"Of course J," I reply. "I'll always be your friend when you need one."
Jonah nods with a small smile.
"So..." I say changing the subject. "What do you want to do today?"
He looks down at his leg and says, "I can't really do much..."
"Do you want to drive around for awhile?" I offer- hesitant for his response.
"That sounds great," Jonah says smiling at me.
I help him to the car, where I buckle him in and then store his crutches in the back seat.
We drive around for hours, until I notice the sun starting to set.
"Wow," I say surprised by how late it is. "The sun looks beautiful."
Jonah nods. "The sunsets are one of my favorite things about living in California."
"Do you miss Minnesota?" I say glancing at him.
I can't believe I haven't asked Jonah about home before. He must miss his family like crazy...
"Everyday," Jonah says with a sad tone to his voice. "It's difficult not to see my family everyday. They're my world."
"That must be really hard," I say placing one of my hands on top of his.
"Take a right up here," Jonah says suddenly. I'm taken off guard, but I listen, driving onto a dirt road leading to the ocean.
"Where are we going?" I ask glancing at Jonah.
"To my favorite spot to watch the sunset," he replies blissfully.
I can't fight the blush on my cheeks as I watch Jonah stare up at the sky in awe.
I've never seen this side of him before- though now I wish I had.
"You remind me of Corbyn," I say jokingly.
"He's taught me well," Jonah replies with a laugh.
We stare at the changing colors in the sky, and the crashing waves below us.
"Thanks for bringing me here- it's magnificent." I stare into the sky at the retreating sun, and the many stars that are beginning to peek through the clouds.
I glance at Jonah, remembering when we sat outside and looked at the stars- when we barely even knew each other. That time in my life seems like so long ago, even though it's only been a few years.
"What?" Jonah says looking to me. A small smile spreads onto his face.
"Huh?" I say suddenly out of my haze.
"You were looking at me funny."
"Oh... I was just thinking about that one night we looked at the stars. On your patio. You probably don't even remember that," I laugh  nervously. "Never mind."
Jonah turns to face me. "I could never forget that night."
I meet his eyes again with a small smile.
Jonah starts laughing softly and I shoot him a wary glance.
"Remember when you tripped on your chair that night..." Jonah says grinning at me.
I'm mortified that he not only remembers that- but has chosen to think about it again.
My cheeks turn a light shade of pink. "How could I forget? That was totally embarrassing."
Jonah smiles at me. "I thought it was cute."
"You'd be the only one," I say breathlessly, staring back towards the sky.
"I'm definitely not the only one to think you're cute," Jonah says- totally serious.
"What?" I reply facing Jonah.
He opens his mouth to say something but then closes it.
"We should go," Jonah finally says.
"Um, okay." I say, still confused.
I turn the car on and pull out of the parking lot- heading back on the bumpy dirt road.
"Are you feeling okay?" I ask glancing at Jonah once we're back on the highway. Daniel said if J's quiet it might be because he's in pain.
"I'm fine," Jonah says staring out the window.
I sigh. Every single time Jonah and I are finally, finally, getting along, something always has to go wrong.
I stare ahead at the road in silence for the rest of the drive.
