Sunlight hits my face, and my eyes pop open. The first thing that hits me is the pounding headache, followed by the unfamiliar ceiling above me. I slowly sit myself up and grab my head, surveying the room before me.
Then I realize where I am.
I'm in Corbyn, Zach, and Jonah's room.
I recognize the artwork on the walls, and the mess of clothes all over the floor and I start to panic.
What happened last night?
Why am I in someone else's bed?
Then another thought hits me straight in the gut.
Who's bed am I in??
I hear the doorknob start to open, and I fall back quickly pretending to be asleep.
I wait a few counts before I slide one eye open, looking for who came in.
My eyes land on Jonah. Wearing only a towel?
I sit straight up to get a better look, and am caught by Jonah's gaze.
"Oh... sorry I just game to get some clothes..." Jonah says gripping the shirt in his hands.
"Um..." I say rubbing my head. "Who's bed am I in?"
Jonah's cheeks turn a light shade of pink and he says, "That would be mine... and don't worry, I slept on the floor over there," where Jonah points to an air mattress.
My eyes widen and I say, "What the heck happened last night?"
Jonah sort of laughs, but stops immediately when he sees my cold expression.
"Well... you and Zach got pretty tipsy last night... when I found you two outside, you were passed out on the grass and Zach was trying to play ping pong... by himself..."
I groan, embarrassed he saw me so vulnerable.
"How did I get in your bed?" I say with wide eyes.
"I brought you to our house... I hope that's okay," Jonah adds quickly. I nod and he continues saying, "Everyone else stayed at the party last night... but you were so tipsy I brought you back with me..." Jonah looks embarrassed, but i'm honestly grateful for him.
"Thanks," I say closing my eyes.
"Do you want me to grab you some Advil?" Jonah says with a compassionate look on his face.
"It's okay. Go back to doing whatever you were doing," I say laying back.
Jonah exits the room without another word.
I sit up again and search for my clothes, to see them stacked neatly on the end of the bed.
I smile to myself.
Jonah walks back into the room fully dressed, holding an Advil bottle in one hand and a glass of water in the other.
"J," I say blushing, a smile spreading on my face.
Jonah smiles back and says, "I loved it when you called me J."
I smile down at my water.
"I'm going to go make some breakfast. You want anything?" Jonah asks getting off of the bed.
"I'm okay," I reply. The thought of food makes me gag.
I guess this is what a hangover feels like.
"If you want to go back to sleep, feel free," Jonah says glancing back at me before heading out the door.
I smile into one of Jonah's pillows.

"Emma?" My eyes startle open, landing on Harpers concerned face over my head.
I sit up, realizing I must have fallen back asleep.
"What?" I say groggily rubbing my eyes.
"I was worried about you! You hadn't come home for 24 hours dude," she says with a laugh.
"I forgot to text you," I say eyeing my phone across the room- charging.
"I brought the car to take you back," Harper replies dangly the keys to our shared car.
"I love you babe," I say kissing her cheek.
I crawl out of bed and change into my clothes, entering the room again.
"Thank you Jonah," she says shaking her head at me with a smile.
"Em, this is why you cant be trusted alone at a party," Harper says laughing. "Apparently you're a crazy drunk."
I burst out laughing and I reply, "You can never leave my side honey!"
"Come on loser," she says dragging me out of the room.
I glance behind me as Jonah shuts his bedroom door.
I can't tell if i'm sad he didn't follow us, or glad.
I spot Zach passed out on the couch, and I can't help but laugh.
"Bye Zachy," I whisper into his ear.
Corbyn comes around the corner and says, "She's alive!"
Daniel and Jack come running in from the kitchen laughing.
Daniel turns to Jack and says, "I guess we know who the partiers are."
Jack points to Zach and I, and I reply, "I'm never going to drink again, let me tell you."
"Ah, the hangover," Corbyn says nostalgically.
We share a laugh, remembering some of the events of last night.
"I'll see you people later," I yell heading to the front door.
"BYE EMMA. BYE HARPER," four voices yell in unison.
I smile to Harper and as we walk to the car.
"Want In n Out?" Harper asks hopefully.
"You're my favorite," I reply looking ahead.
