The Risk of Falling in Love: A Jonah vs. Daniel Fanfiction

Chapter 1

"We will proceed to land in LA in 5 minutes," the pilot of the plane announces.
"Awesome," my little brother Cooper says shutting off the DVD player he was watching a movie on. He catches me watching him and says, "Emma are you still hoping to meet Why Don't We," sarcastically.
"Hey," I say. "I'm not "hoping" I already know i'm going to meet them at a dinner Harper's taking me to." Cooper gives me a questioning look and looks out the window as the plane starts to land under the beautiful Los Angeles sun.

After a long day of sightseeing I finally meet up with my friend Harper who recently moved to LA. Harper is an amazing flutist, so moving to LA to go to a music school was a great choice for her. Harper is Zach's cousin, from my favorite band Why Don't We. At an award show a few months ago and told them about her "fan girling friend from Colorado" that was dying to meet them. They agreed to meet me, so Harper is taking me to a restaurant to meet the boys.
"Harper!" When I see her across the courtyard of the grove, I take off running towards her.
"Emma! I missed you so much," Harper says embracing me in a strong hug.
"I missed you too," I say happily. Then I hear a laugh coming from behind me. I turn around and see Zach smiling at me. I'm momentarily speechless as I stare at one of my musical idols, unsure what to say.
"Hey," Zach says extending his hand to me.
"H...hi," I say nervously taking his hand in mine.
"You don't have to be nervous around us," Zach says laughing. "We're just a bunch of goofy guys who love to make music together." I smile. "Good to know you're not one of those uptight celebrities," I say with a laugh.
"Definitely not," he says. Then he turns to Harper. "Would you and Emma like to join us for dinner? The rest of the guys are waiting in that restaurant over there." I look at Harper as I start to panic inside.
"We'd love to thank you," she says smiling at me. They start to walk away but i'm stuck in my tracks starting very unsurely towards the restaurant before us. Harper turns back towards me and says, "don't be nervous! You've been waiting for this for a long time!"
"You're right," I say as I follow her and Zach.

As we reach the door Zach opens it for me and Harper and we walk into the restaurant. Zach leads us to the table the rest of the boys are at towards the back. Corbyn and Jack are sitting with their backs to us, and Daniel and Jonah are sitting facing us. Zach takes his seat in between Daniel and Corbyn, pulling up a seat for Harper next to him. Jonah hops out of his seat to grab me a chair, placing it right in between his and Daniels chairs. Before sitting back in his own seat, Jonah pulls out my chair for me with a welcoming smile.
"Thank you," I say slightly nervous still.
"Of course," Jonah says with a smile. "It's nice to meet you Emma Kerry. Harper has told us so much about you."
"Yes," Daniel says on my right side with a smile. I turn towards him and return the gesture. Corbyn and Jack smile at me welcomingly from across the table, and then proceed to mess around with their silverware again.
"How are you liking LA so far," Daniel says to me.
"I love LA! I would move here in a heart beat," I say dreamingly.
"I love it here too," he says. "But I miss Oregon a lot."
"I see that. I would miss Colorado if I moved here."
"Hey love birds," Corbyn says from across the table. "Let's order!" I turn away from Daniel and blush. I cant believe talking to him was that easy and effortless.
