I felt so.. different.. I opened my eyes and realized that I was still underwater but I wasn't being dragged downwards anymore. Before, the sea was so dark but now I can see clearly.. i was also like a meter above the surface and I already remembered that I can't breathe underwater. I quickly rushed to the surface only being met by the bright sunlight. I can breathe! Finally! Phew!! I looked around and only found out that I wasn't in the area where I saved the boy. Strange.. what just happened? Where am I and why do I look and feel so different?
"AAAGH!! AN UNKNOWN ALIEN JUST CAME OUT OF THE WATER" I turn around to face who that voice was and I almost dropped my mouth open... It was an orange and brown badger talking with clothes on? "Calm down Sticks, it's just a Hedgehog" Then I saw a purple cat talking with clothes on as well? What just happened? Am I dreaming while being unconscious? What is this world? And wha-wait... Did that cat just called me a Hedgehog?
I looked into the reflection on the water and then I screamed. I was actually a hedgehog. My face is so different. What the hell happened to me? "Y-Y/N??" The purple cat stuttered at that name while looking at me. Who's Y/N? "Y/N grab my hand!!" I was being pulled out of the water and ended up getting hugged tightly by her. She had tears in her eyes while the badger was just confused and doing self-defence. I looked at my body. What the hell am I wearing? They do look nice though

"What happened to you Y/N?! I thought you died six months ago! It's me Blaze!" The cat cried. I what now? The badger got a little scared and showed self-defence. I managed to ask her two questions, "Who and what are you really? What is this pla-" unfortunately, my second question ended up being cut by screams and explosions from a village not far from us. "Sticks, go and help Sonic and the others to save the people and defeat Eggman. Let them know that I'm helping and protecting someone important right now!" The badger didn't hesitate and went away. Looks like she seems scared of me.
Sonic? Eggman? What a weird name. Did I actually died and this is the afterlife? But this cat named Blaze knows me.. I..don't...know.. confusion struck me with dizziness as I ended up passed out into Blaze's arms.
"Y/N!!" Was all I heard before experiencing blackness again.

Blaze POV
I was actually going out with Sticks because she wanted to show me some traps to catch fish and possibly 'aliens' from the lake. She has a paranoid personality. While we were waiting for fish from the lake to come to her trap, a Hedgehog popped out of the water, making Sticks jump back with a boomerang in her hand, "AAAGH!! AN UNKNOWN ALIEN JUST CAME OUT OF THE WATER!!" I tried calling her down so she won't be so loud, "Calm down Sticks, it's just a Hedgehog".
I wondered what was that Hedgehog doing underwater? She looked like she was out of breath, but she seemed familiar to me, when she faced Sticks, I can clearly see her face. She can't be... But she's dead! "Y-Y/N??" Was all I could say before tearing up.
Y/N the Hedgehog was a friend I loved as a sister for five years until six months ago, she died from being shot by millions of lasers all over her body and fell into the sea, but not in this lake. She was then never seen again, making me conclude that she has gone. How was she still alive?
"Y/N Grab my hand!" I dragged her out of the lake and she was soaked. I took a look all over her body including her face. It's really her.. I hugged her very tightly but she looked confused I tried talking to her, "What happened to you Y/N?! I thought you died six months ago! It's me Blaze!" All of us suddenly heard screams and explosions from the village closer to us. I wanted her to be safe first and I don't want to let her go again. "Sticks, go and help Sonic and the others to save the people and defeat Eggman. Let them know that I'm helping and protecting someone important right now!" Sticks looked scared and suspicious on who I was referring to here after watching her running into the village being in chaos, Y/N suddenly collapsed into my arms unconscious.
"Y/N!!" So I carried her in bridal style since she feel so light like a feather and brought her with me into my house. It wasn't near the village actually so we were safe.
