Chapter 9 - Farewell Good Friend and the Arrival

"I didn't know about the problem with Blaze at first due to her giving us the same excuse that she had the flu, but then I realized in the meeting of how pale she was and that she was coughing blood. After seeing that, I then realized what's actually going on with her" Amy explained to me and when I looked at her face, I saw her trying to wipe her tears beside me. I felt guilty all of a sudden for her. She must've been a great friend to her. "Ever since you came to join us as a team, Blaze has never been happier than before. She always like put on smiles all the time until now."

"Do you possibly knew the other me in this body?" I asked her, I wondered if she met her at least once.
"I'm afraid not. Blaze never talked about it to anyone at all. Only once to me. When she found you, and back when you were passed out, she couldn't stop crying and I had to wait for her to calm down. I tried all my heart to comfort her. However, the tears she had been weeping though, I doubt that I could tell weather those were tears of joy or sorrow. It's like she cried in a very sad way, but when it comes to taking care of you especially when you were waking up, she then looked honestly very happy"

Suddenly it hit me, She was happy and sad at the same time she saw me because she already remembered that she was still dying. She knew she wouldn't be with me for long ever since the beginning. Tears were once again in my eyes once I connected all the dots.

"Listen Y/N I even love to be with you as part of our family, I won't leave your side ok? Please remember that" she held my hand and I truly smiled. It wasn't a fake one. I was glad that she will be with me and not only her, but the rest of the team.
"Everyone else knows this?"
"I already told them once I knew what was happening, even Tails the poor little fox knew about this and I even found him crying alone in his workshop twice. But I will be more happy if you fill in Blaze's spot for us will you?" I felt sorry for Tails as well.
"Of course I will" After I said that, Sonic and Blaze arrived and we all looked at them. Blaze looked at Amy, Tails, Knuckles, Sticks and Eggman. She bowed at them and they bowed back with sorrow. It means she was showing goodbye to them.

"Y/N" I looked at her, "Will you come with me and Sonic? I want you to come with me to the river where I have seen you for the first time" Suddenly she collapsed onto her knees and coughed again.
"Blaze hang on please!" I begged. Even if she was going to die today, it can't be here so I agreed to take her to the lake with Sonic coming along with us. Sonic was hugging Tails, who was still crying and trying to let him know that everything was going to be ok.
"Hey female rodent" Eggman called. I glared at the way he called her but looks like he ignored me, "I have to admit, I will feel bad for a while once you're gone, so let me say this, it was nice fighting with you and being your enemy, even though I nearly killed you a lot of times" she smiled, "Thanks Eggman..." Then there goes Shadow, "Tch, don't worry, what I'm sure of is we'll meet again one day" "I'm sure of that as well and try to remember that this isn't the Y/N you've known" he nodded.

Sonic setted Blaze on his back since she couldn't walk much anymore and signaled me to follow him to the lake since he's going in high speed. I agreed and went out, jumping around even on the sea. I can't exactly fly, but it depends on my boot's gravity in controlling themselves. Once I made it to the river, They were already there. So all of us then sat down on the edge near the lake. "Y/N, remember to stay with the others. I know someday you can have fights and arguements, but know that it's better to lose those than losing them" I was crying silently and even harder when she given me her last embrace. I will miss that hug.... She then turned to Sonic "Don't leave her alone.. keep on helping her until... until sh-she is a-aware in e-everything.. a-at least y-you were mostly the person that I can t-trust you" He nodded, but when I looked at him, he seems to be bottling everything inside him. Probably because he doesn't want me to see him cry. But in fact, I've never seen him cried before. Yeah he's had sad moments but only for a short time, he then gets positive again like he use to and goes on runs and then sometimes takes naps usually outside. Blaze then finally said her last words,
