Fifty Three: Someone Else...

Matthew's POV

"I really truly loved you Matthew."

I can't get those words out of my head. She loved me, but I betrayed her. How can I be so dumb? Maybe... Aunt Linda was right. I am an airhead.

I always end up hurting people who love me. First Kayden, the Elizabeth. How can I do this to her? She must have tried so hard to escape from the memories of her past... But now, I threw her back from where she started.

No. I can't lose hope. I have to do this, for her and for Kayden. I was the one to throw them into trouble, and now, I'll be the one to pull them out.

I have to escape from here...

I look around the dungeon I've been thrown in.

...But how?

I sigh in defeat. Maybe fate doesn't want me to be happy with my Elly.

"Hey! Wake up."

I groan... Who is it?

"YA! I'M NOT YOUR PERSONAL ASSISTANT. WAKE UP OR I'LL MAKE SURE THAT YOU NEVER WAKE UP AGAIN!!!"

My eyes bolt open. I rub my eyes and groggily look up at the man threatening me...

Or a woman?

Who is she?

I try to look through ny blurred vision.

White gown, brown hair, hazel eyes...

Suddenly my vision becomes clear.

Elizabeth!

"Elly!" I stand up "Thank god you are safe. You don't know how much I missed you. You look fine but..." I hold her face and inspect for any injuries, "Are you really okay?"

She holds my hands...

"You..."

She removes my hands from her face.

"HOW DARE YOU TOUCH ME?" she gags, "YIKES! NOW I'LL HAVE TO WASH MYSELF AGAIN. I JUST TOOK A BATH, YOU IMBECILE FOOL!"

I look into her eyes, and the angry look in them terrifies me. What has happened to her?

"Alina! Are you okay, my princess?" a cooing voice comes from somewhere. And it's too familiar for me to not recognize it.

"Oh! Mother, hello. I'm fine, it's just that I'll have to wash myself again." This isn't Elizabeth speaking. It's... Someone else.

"Oh. No probs, my girl. Tell the maid to warm up some water for you. Now... Can you please leave me alone with Matthew for some time?"

Elizabeth nods and walks out of the dungeon, her white gown trailing behind her.

"So," her voice makes me look towards her, "You might be thinking, 'Oh my god, what has happened to her?', then let me tell you, she's under my control right now."

"What?!" I look at her, shocked.

"Yes, I gave her the drug that makes her fully in control. Seriously! Your Aunt is a magician! She can do wonders."

I know that. According to my mother, Aunt Linda is really smart. She has studied a lot about chemicals and stuff like that. When she was younger, she, by accident, made a drug that hypnotized people. But... No one knows about it except my mother.

That's why, my mother warned me to not eat anything given by her....

No... Elly! How can she do this to her own daughter.

"Okay... Bye Matthew. Hope you are enjoying your stay here."

She starts walking out, but she stops and looks over her shoulder.

"Oh! And Matthew. This is not a fairytale where Eliz-Alina might have just acted to take the drink. Oh no no no. I shoved it down her throat myself."

I know, I know, WTF am I even writing. Drug that hypnotizes people, drug that makes a person go into coma...

But! The book is teen FICTION for a reason. It's not real, but a work of fiction. Now, my question is, should I let it remain as Teen Fic or change it? If yes, then to what?
