TWENTYSIX

"Are you guys sure?" I asked with tears in my eyes. "It...she wont become a burden to you?"

"Noona, stop it! Of course she won't!" I heard Jimin say as he came into the room.

"Noona...we love you...and we want what's best for you." Jin said with a smile.

"But what if...she has an accident...or..."

"Noona!" I heard Namjoon shout. "Stop worrying...she will be fine." He grabbed my face and placed a gentle kiss to my forehead.

I couldn't help but let the tears stain my face in a mix between relief and sadness.

"I'm SO excited!" I heard Hoseok shout. "I know its just until things get better but im so excited for a fur baby in the house."

"I'm sure Bex is going to love Hobi hyung." I heard Jungkook giggle before placing a kiss on Hobi's cheek.

"She'll love all of you." I said through tears. "Thank you so much for looking after her...I don't want that maniac to hurt her." Tae wrapped his arms around my shoulders as he sat behind me. We were in the boys' livingroom giving them an update on Parker's...actions. Showing them the photo of Bex and the message written on the back. They were appalled...though no threat was made...they all knew the story. They all knew that it was Parkerwho crashed into my parents car. And though he didn't walk away unharmed, he survived. They didn't.

Tae and I went back into my apartment and rounded up all of Bex's items. Jimin and Yoongi came to help. We took both her scratch posts, one to be placed in the liviving room, and one to be placed in Jimin and Yoongi's room, her tower, to be placed in Jin and Namjoon's room, her litter box, to be placed in the downstairs bathroom, all of her food, treats, toys, laser pointer, and finally her water and food dishes. We placed them in all the right places, and finally I brought Bex over. She meowed a few times not used to being outside of the apartment. But when we stepped inside Jin was opening a can of wet food. I didn't normally feed her wet food but Jin and I agreed to let her have it twice a week for a treat. She looked over to him and I placed her on the floor. She looked around a little but made her way over to Jin smelling the food. She immediately started eating, and again I could hear her purr from across the room.

"She'll like it here." Jin said smiling at me. "And Tae still has his room here so you guys can always stay here whenever you want. It's not like you wont see her anymore." He smiled. His words gave me a weird kind of reassurance.

Thanking him I decided I wanted to go take a nap. Walking into my apartment seemed a little empty. Bex was a lazy cat but she always made me smile when I walked in the door. She'd greet me, meow a bit, I'd give her a treat and then she would cuddle up with me on the couch. She got along great with Tae. And she would even cuddle with him when I wasn't around, or if I was cooking. I started to tear again as I went over to the couch. I put my elbows to my knees and covered my eyes with my hands. I sobbed lightly, allowing Tae to again comfort me. He pulled me on to his lap and let me cry for a bit.

I know she was only a few steps away, I know that I would see her as much as I wanted, but it's not the same. My crying lessened to just a few escaped tears when finally I looked up at Taehyung.

"I can't be worth this." I said to him in a whisper burying my face in his neck.

"What?" I heard him breath.

"Tae...this is so much drama. So much...just burden. Our happiness has been shattered and now we are both afraid of everything. Even the police report does nothing since we can't ever catch him doing anything. No piece of evidence, no note, nothing..."

He pulled my head into his hands. "Hey, hey, hey!" he spoke quietly. "What are you talking about?"

"Tae...you shouldn't associate yourself with me anymore. He'll come after you...he'll try to hurt you –"
