It felt like the day dragged on and on. I just wanted the sun to go down so I could go out trick-or-treating with Dustin. Now that I thought of it though where do I meet him? He didn't say. Oh great now I'm screwed.

I decided to leave early at 6:00 so I could look around for him. But after a hour of looking I had no luck. No this was my one chance! what should I do? Then I heard him not saw but heard. I followed the sound of his voice till I did see him. Up ahead of me with Will,Mike,Lukas, and Max, Max? They had invited her to?

Dustin and Lukas were farther ahead of me with Max. And the way they were interacting with her,they clearly liked her. Tears filled my eyes he didn't even think about me not being there. I turned to leave. But then I saw Mike,he was at the back of the pack trailing behind. And I could tell he was upset.

I slowly walked up to him "Hey Mike" he flipped around startled.

"Oh it's just you,hi Emily"

"Hi" I looked ahead at Dustin before turning back to him.

"are you ok?" I asked him.

He looked at me his face looking sad. "Huh? What? Ya I'm fine" he said shaking himself off and putting on a smile. "Just tired"

I gave he a "I'm not stupid" look back. He sighed.

"It's just,I lost a friend a while back and I really miss her. And now Lukas and Dustin are both hanging out with Max all the time" his head hung low.

Mikes Pov

"Ya I can understand that" Emily said I looked over to her. She looked sad giving a glance up every so often. I followed her eyes to what she was looking at, Dustin!? She was looking at Dustin who was ahead of us with Lukas and Max. She looked like she was about to cry.

"Emily what's wrong with you?" I asked her.

She looked at me "nothing" she said.

"I'm not stupid Em"

She laughed a little "it's just,"

"You like Dustin" I finished for her. She just nodded. "And he's with Max" another nod.

We turned into a driveway to head to a house. Getting our candy.

Dustin's pov

We had just gotten some more candy. When I realized Emily standing over by Mike. I ran over to greet her. "Hey Emily I didn't notice you found us,sorry for not telling you where we were meeting I forgot"

She gave me a small smile "it's ok Dustin" she said but her tone of voice said something else.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

She looked at me and looked like she going to give an answer but she was cut off.

"MIKE!" We all spun around to the sound.

"MIKE!"

"That's Will!" Mike yelled running off towards the sound of Wills screams. We all followed him.

"MIKE!" We eventually found Will behind a house against a wall. Mike bent down to him and placed his hands on Wills shoulder shaking him a little.

"Will!" He said "Will" Will looked up at Mike he had tears on his face and was visibly shaken up. Mike helped him to his feet.

"Let's get you home" he said we all started to follow him but Mike snapped back at up.

"You guys keep trick-or-treating I'll take him home" he said.
