Dustin's POV

El didn't answer. She looked a bit confused and like she was thinking.

"Eleven do you know what to do?" Mike asked talking almost in a whisper.

She nodded.

"Can you explain?" Mike asked.

She shook her head. El was still learning how to communicate information.

Everything went fuzzy. Everyone was a blur sound was muffled. I felt the headache coming.

"Dustin?" I heard my name being called. It was Emily she was asking me what was wrong. But I couldn't answer I just didn't want to go back there.

My head was pounding now everything not really making sense. Someone took my hands and knelt in front of me. It was Eleven.

"Breath" I heard her say.

"Understand?" She asked. I gave a slight nod. I didn't want to go back there but I had to trust El.

I closed my eyes when I opened them. I was back in the void the endless darkness. "Dustin" I jumped and spun around Eleven stood there.

"El" I said confused that's why she wanted me to breath and calm down. So she could come with me. She pulled me into a hug and I instantly relaxed.

For a second I forgot where I was.

Until

"Dussssstttinnn" it echoed through the space filling it up. Echoing in my head.

No no no I sunk down to my knees. I clapped my hands over my ears trying to block it out.

"Dustin" Els voice I looked up to see her sitting across from me.

"What,is that?" She asked.

"Dussstiiinn" It hissed again it had my voice but it was raspy and deep not like mine.

I shook my head again,then answered Els question. "Me" I said she looked scared.

"It's coming for me,for you" I said rocking back and forth.

"No" El said standing up. She was defending me ready to attack anything that came after us.

Once again I closed my eyes trying to get its voice out of my head.

"Duuussssstttiiiinn"

"Duuuusssssstttiiinnn"

"Duusstin"

"Dustin"

"Dustin!" I opened my eyes to see Emily and El,Steve and the rest of the party. I was back in our world.

Emily cradled me into her arms. And Steve started rubbing my back.

"I'm sorry" El said. I looked at her her eyes had tears in them same as mine.

"It's ok" I said she gave me a small smile.

"What happened? Steve asked El "did you kill it?" He asked.

"No,not there" she said.

"Just voice" she said.

"Voice what voice?" Steve asked.

"My voice" I said "there's a me there. But it's not me,it's a....I don't know." I trailed off I didn't know how to explain it.

"Is this other you..is that the virus?" Mike asked.

"I don't know" I responded.

I didn't know. The void was the virus but I'm not sure if IT is. What if it's just a thing I'm making up in my own head.

I don't know.
