Emily's POV

Dustin had walked me home and told me to meet him back at his house later today. I walked into my house it wasn't trashed or anything like that. My dad had a tendency to trash things when he was drunk.

I walked down the hall to my moms room. I opened the door,she sat on her bed I didn't know what she was thinking or going through or if dad had hurt her in some way. "Mom" I said she spun around and came over to me engulfing me in a hug.

"Are you ok? Did he hurt you? What happened? I'm so sorry" she kept saying sorry and asking questions.

"I'm fine mom"

"What's that?" She asked taking my hand and looking at my wrist. It had bruised from when he grabbed me.

"It nothing,it could've been a lot worse...but Dustin protected me so I'm ok". She smiled when I mentioned Dustin.

"He did?" She asked.

"Ya he did" I said smiling.

"Are you ok?" I asked her I didn't see anything bruises or cuts anywhere.

"Yes yes I'm fine" she said.

"Hopper explained everything to me,but why didn't you come home last night I was worried until Hop said you were staying at Dustin's"

"I'm sorry,I just didn't want to come home,I guess I felt like that's the first place he would go to find us. Even though he was locked up I still didn't feel good coming back here" I explained

My mom started tearing up "I'm sorry sweet heart. I'm sorry" she said hugging me again.

"It's ok mom"

After a bit of hanging out with mom and talking about how amazing the previous night was till dad wreaked it. I asked her if it was ok for me to go back to Dustin's she said of course and I headed out.

I took my bike this time and called Dustin on the walkie in the way.

"Dustin"

"Dustssiiinnn"

"Hey!"

"Hey I'm on my way,mind telling me what we're helping Steve with over"

"Nope its a surprise for both of you over" he said.

"Ok whatever you say,over and out"

I got to Dustin's and we biked to Steve's I still had no clue what we were doing.
Dustin knocked on the door. "Hey guys haven't seen you in a while" Steve said as we walked in.

"We literally saw to two days ago" I said laughing.

"Ya but still" he said.

"Guys wanna play some games?" He asked.

"Ya-"

"No!" Dustin cut me off. Steve gave a strange look to Dustin.

"I was wanting to go out,so I thought why not let Steve take us" Dustin explained.

"Out to what?" Steve asked.

"A movie" Dustin said.

"Uh Huh and who would pay for that?" Steve asked.

Dustin looked at me then to Steve "you" he said. Steve laughed.

"A movie sounds great! why not" he said grabbing his car keys and walking out the door me and Dustin following him.

"Shotgun!" I yelled.

"Dang it!" Dustin said pushing me.

"Hey you can't get it every time" Steve said shoving Dustin witch made them laugh.
