Strange Things In Hawkins Chapter 21

Emily's Pov

After the movie Steve took us home and said his goodbyes. It was only 3:00 what was I going to do the rest of the day?? I decided it would be fun to call everyone over. I got on the walkie and went to the channel 4.

"Hey guys"

"Guys"

"Hi Em what's up?" It was Mike

"Hey Mike. I was wanting to invite everybody over to my house to hang out. Are you free?"

"Ya that's sound fun. I'll pick up Lukas Will and Dustin on the way over. You get El and Max?" He asked me.

"Sounds good see you in a bit" ok now I just had to get El and Max. Max lived pretty close to me so getting her wouldn't be a problem. I got on my bike and made my way to Max's house. I hoped Billy was gone I didn't want to deal with him.

I knocked on the door. And Billy answered great. "Hey Billy I'm here for Max" I said. He took a drink of his beer and responded.

"What are you doing with her?" he asked

"Just going to hand out" I said.

"Hey Em" Max said pushing passed Billy to step outside.

"Just ignore him" she whispered to me as we left on our bikes.

"So what's up?" She asked.

"Nothing much just wanted to get the party together to hang out" I said.

Max nodded. "Sooo" she said I gave her a confused look.

"You and Dustin,are like a thing?" she asked I glared at her.

"What it's just a question" she said defensively.

"Yes we are" I responded.

"Ohhhhh"

"Stop it!" I teased she laughed. We eventually made it to Elevens house. Max went and got her and she rode on the back of Max's bike.

"You should get a bike El" I said to her as we rode back to my house. She looked at me.

"I don't know how to ride" she said.

"I'm sure Mike could teach you" I said she blushed a little at Mikes name.

"Oh El did you know Emily and Dustin were together" Max asked looking over her shoulder.

"Yes" she said.

"What you did?!" Max asked her. El nodded.

I laughed seeing them kinda yell at each other was funny. We got back to my house and Mike Will Dustin and Lukas say in my yard. "Hey guys!" I said getting off my bike.

"Hey" Lukas called out. We went inside and went to my room. It was cramped with all 7 of us in there but it was ok.

"Really quick before we hang out I have a question" Mike said. We all looked at each other a bit confused.

"Are you two together" Mike said pointing at me and Dustin.

Dustin's face turned red at the question.

"Wellllll....." he said sheepishly. I rolled my eyes and leaned in a kissed him his face getting more red.

"Yes" I said Mike gave me a look of satisfaction.

"Ok then" Mike said.

"We need to hook you up Will" Mike said looking over at him. Will looked almost startled by the remark.

"Did you ever talk to that girl you danced with at the snowball?" Lukas asked.

"Ummm..not really she's come and talked to me a couple times" he said stuttering a bit like he always did.

"Dude that means she likes you!" Dustin said.

"I guess,but I don't know if I like her" Will explained.

Lukas rolled his eyes. "Come on man you gotta make a move to let her know" he said.

"I guess.....I'll think about it" Will said.

"How long have you guys been official" Max asked me and Dustin. He looked at me not sure of what to say.

"For a while" I say "we went on our first date the other night" I said.

"What!"

"You did!"

"Oh my gosh!"

"Why didn't you tell us!?!"

"Woah guys calm down" Dustin said putting his hands out.

"What did you guys do?" Max asked.

"Wellll...Dustin took me to the school and laid out a picnic in the soccer field" I explained

"There were candles then he sang me a song" I said.

"Wait!" Mike said stopping me from continuing.

"You can sing?" He asked Dustin. Who just shrugged his shoulders.

"Sing something" Lukas said.

"What no!" Dustin said back.

"Come on pleassseeee" Mike begged. Dustin stared at him.

"No,I don't want to" I knew they weren't going to stop so I spoke up.

"Come on sing a song Dust" I said looking at him. He looked at me then to everyone else. He sighed a stood up.

"You don't have to stand" Mike said.

"Actually if you stand up while singing you get better oxidation so you can sing better" Dustin said back to Mike with a sassy voice.

Dustin cleared his throat and took a deep breath and sung. "You might think I'm crazy,to hang around with you. But baby think I'm lucky to have something to do" he sung it differently then the original though he sang it slower then it normal goes.

"And I think that your wild when you flash that fragile smile." Dustin kept singing the song and everyone was whispering to each other with looks of awe.

He finished a sat back down. And everyone kinda just stared at him. "What!?" He asked.

"That was amazing!" Max said. Lukas nodded. And Mike just made a mind blown action.

"Thanks" Dustin said. We continued to talk and hang all day. It was nice not having to deal with some crazy thing. And just be kids and chill out.
