Strange Things In Hawkins Chapter 12

Emily's pov

I knocked on the Byers door. Still not 100% sure if this was the right thing to do. I had called Dustin on the walkie earlier and he had said he was ok with me talking to Will. The door opened to Jonathan standing in front of me.

"Hello Jonathan is Will home?" I asked he looked tired as he most of the time did.

"Umm,ya he's in his room,is everything ok?" He asked he could probably see the nervousness on my face.

"Ya everything's fine" I lied I trusted Jonathan and Joyce but I wasn't sure I should bring them into this at the moment. I just wanted to talk to Will. Jonathan gave me a nod and stepped aside so I could come in.

The house for once wasn't covered in something like Christmas lights or a giant map of Hawkins. It was clean well as clean as a single mom with two boys house can be.

"Hi Emily,how are you!" Joyce said as I walked in. Joyce was nice I liked her and respected how strong she was considering what she'd gone through.

"Hi Mrs Byers,I'm doing fine" another lie. She smiled and nodded at me then went back to cleaning up the kitchen. I walked down the hallway to Wills room knocking on his door.

"Come in" I opened the door. Will was at his desk drawing a picture. He turned around and his face lit up when he saw me.

"Hi Emily!" He said standing up and walking over to me.

"Hi Will" I said not as much putting on an act now. His eyebrows furrowed as he looked at me with concern.

"What's wrong?" He asked

"I need to talk to you,but I'd rather not do it here" I said I didn't want Jonathan or Joyce hearing.

"Ok,let's go then" he said I could tell he was confused. We walked out of his room and headed for the door.

"Oh Will sweetie where are you going" Joyce asked as I reached for the doorknob. Will gave me a oh great look before turning to his mom.

"I'm going to hang out with Emily" he said. "She has a new game she wants to show me" he said trying to get Joyce to let him leave.

"Ok well don't be out late" she said

"I won't" he responded I opened the door and we walked out. As soon as I shut the door Will gave a sigh of relief. He looked at me and started laughing and soon so did I. We got our bikes and rode off down the road not going anywhere in particular.

"So what do you want to talk about?" He asked. I looked at the road not 100% wanting to answer his question.

"Um well, I want to talk about,Dustin" Will looked at me a bit scared and confused.

"What about him?"

"Well,can we stop...to to talk" I stuttered.

"Sure" Will eased his bike to a stop as did I. We pulled our bikes off the road and sat on the curb.

"What is it Em?" He said.

"Dustin is connected to the upside down!" I blurted out faster then I've ever spoke before. Will looked at me shocked.

"What?!"

"Ya,and I was..wanting to talk to you about it cuz..."

"Because I've been there" he finished for me. I nodded.

He looked down at his shoes.

"What dose the rest of the party think?" He asked.

"They don't know,the only ones that know are me Steve El and Hopper."

"I think it would be best if we got the entire party together and talked about it as a group" Will said,I kinda agreed the party should all know after all Friends don't lie.

I nodded pulling out my walkie from my backpack. I switched it to channel 3 me and Dustin's secret channel. "Dustin?" No response.

"Dustin?"

"Emily?"

"Hey Dust umm I have Will here with me" I put the walkie up to Will so he could say something.

"Hey Dustin" he said.

"And me and him were thinking,and we think it would be a good idea to get the entire party together and talk about you and what's going on" I said there was silence on the other end for a while till Dustin spoke up.

"Yaaa,that's probably a good idea I mean there going to find out at some point anyway" he said he sounded out of breath.

"Ok,well were on maple me and Will can come and get you"

"Ok ya that works" Dustin responded

"Ok well be there soon" I said to him.

"Ok,over and out" me and Will gave each other a look.

"I hope we're doing the right thing Will"

"We are,we need to do what's best for Dustin" Will said standing up then helping me.

"Ya your right" I said getting my bike. On the way to Dustin's we decided to get Lukas and Mike as they were in between us and Dustin's house. First stop was Lukas'

Sorry this chapter was a bit short. Hope you liked it though. I'm honestly having so much fun writing this story. Between Emily and Dustin to Steve. I love it. I am going to be incorporating the others more from here on out so don't worry about that.
