Chapter Twenty Two: Come With Me

I hung up and bent down to pick up my shirt but merely slung it over my shoulder.

Almost a week had gone by for me being here in Sunderland and I had grown so fond of this place...more so my attraction to Daisy grew instantly.

Of course she is gorgeous, that's without question...but who she is as a person, her character, her caring heart and compassion, as well as her willingness to see me as just a normal guy, not some CEO or Alpha.

I walked over to her, I could see sadness written on her lovely face.

I moved to cup her face, She didn't want to look at me, and it actually hurt to see that...While she surprised the hell out of me by kissing me, I can't say that I hadn't thought about kissing her on more than one occasion...but was she suddenly regretting it?

"Daisy." I said.

She looked up at me, I didn't waste any time to kiss her softly."I have to go, theres an important matter at work that that requires I be there in person."

"Your company needs you Cade, You should go." She said, she meant what she said, but I could hear the sadness in her words.

It was never my intention to make her sad, but it told me that she must be feeling for me the same way I had begun feeling for her.

"Come with me." I offered.

She looked at me as if trying to understand what I was saying.

"How about it Daisy, I've spent a week here and gotten to know a lot about you and your life...come with me for at least a week and get to know more about me and my life, plus..." I said stepping a little closer, this time putting my hands on her hips. "I really want to explore this feeling between us a little more now that I've found it." I confessed softly.

"Ugh...can't you put your shirt on it's difficult to concentrate when your abs are staring at me."

"Or maybe you're staring at them?" I grinned.

She got embarrassed and tried to walk away from me but I moved and grabbed her around the middle from behind.

"Cade!" She laughed.

"Please...come with me." I said, "I wasn't ready to leave yet." I admitted before I kissed her neck.

She turned in my arms and smiled up at me now.

"Fine," she said her pretty eyes sparkling with happiness now. "I will agree to go with you...IF...you can get my parents to allow me to go."

"Daisy." I groaned, "Remember that talk we had about you doing what you want?"

She nodded, "I get it...but this way I won't feel guilty or feel like I'm sneaking around."

"Fine." I sighed..."lets go and get this over with...just follow my lead okay?"

"Will do." She said as she tip toed to kiss me, she reached my chin and I smirked before I lowered my head a little to meet her mouth with mine.

I moved to put my shirt back on before I grabbed her hand and together we made our way down the mountain and back to my car.

The drive to her house was a comfortable ride, and I held onto her hand the entire way there.

We got to the house and I placed my hand on her lower back as I walked us up to their house, once she opened the door however I knew the formalities would have to be on full display once again.

"How was the hike kids?" Her mother asked from the dining room table. Her parents had clearly just finished up their lunch as the Alpha was seated right next to his Luna.

"It was quite invigerating." Daisy replied cheekily.

"Did you enjoy yourself Alpha Cade?" She asked me, her parents also waiting on my answer.

"Without a doubt...there is absolutely nothing like that back home for me to enjoy." I told her. "Speaking of home," I said looking to her father now. "You and your family have been excellent hosts to me, your pack is wonderful and so very hospitable but unfortuately I've been called back sooner than I had antisipated."

"Oh we are sad to hear it, we've grown so use to your presence."

"And I have as well, I would like to extend my gratitude by inviting Miss Daisy to come and have a stay at my pack, granted she'd even want to come..." I said trying to sound humble and unsure of her response.

"And before we go further I could assure you that she will be treated in the very best manner and handled with the utmost care and respect, I can also have arrangments made for her to stay with my cousin and her husband who can keep an eye on her the whole time."

"Well that sounds very generous of you." The Luna said, "Daisy Dear...did you know about this."

"No ma'am."

"And do you think you'd want to go?" He father asked her.

"If I may..." I said cutting her off before she could answer him. "How about I give you all a little time to talk this over, I've still got to get back to the hotel to collect my belongings and check out...I'll stop by in an hour to say goodbye and If Miss Daisy chooses to go then I'd be happy to escort her to my pack and bring her back home when she wishes to return." I said with a smile before leaving.

I knew this would give them time to "talk about it" so her parents would feel like it was their decision if she went or not, but it'd also give her time to pack and be ready for me when I returned for her.

"Go on up and pack your best clothes my dear Daisy." My dad said.

"Now hold on Hugo." My Mother sounded in a slight protest. "Daisy, while his offer is very kind and more than generous as Alpha Cade is a very private individual...is this something you really want?" She asked before continuing "Just know once you go, I don't think anything will ever be the same again."

I looked at her and then my dad.

"I do want to go, I think...well, there's a part of me that's telling me I have to go if I want to know him better." I admitted, "And please please don't ever bring up marriage at all to him, it's a sure fire way he will never marry me...but one thing's for sure, I refuse to marry anyone without knowing them first."                                                                                

After that I went upstairs and packed a suitcase before I laid back on my bed.

I was really leaving... I was excited to be going, I do want to get to know Cade in his own environment amongst his own people...but I was also kinda nervous.

What if he opened up here because we were alone, because he didn't have to be an Alpha with me. What if he was a different man altogether in his pack.

Time moved fast as I awaited Cade's return and finally I heard the door bell ring, the small gesture caused my heart to race.

I grabbed my suitcase and made my way down the hall, as I reached the stairs He looked up and spotted me, he walked up as if it was nothing and took the suitcase from me.

"Let me ge this for you."

"Thank you." I smiled at him.

"Well I'm off then." I said as I reached my parents.

I hugged my mother and then moved to hug my father. He hugged me tight before finally letting me go.

"It was a genuine pleasure Alpha and Luna Brooks, thank you again for not only having me but for allowing Miss Daisy to accompany me to my own pack."

"You take care of our girl, you hear me son." My dad said sternly, but a small smile playing on his face.

"Absolutely sir." Cade said confidently.
