Chapter Forty Six: Negations
Daisy

"So My Flower...when can I expect you to move over?"

"I guess I'll have to come back soon to start looking at apartments...Maybe a cute condo in the city."

"The City huh?" He asked.

I shrugged, "It's kinda close to this guy I like."

"A guy huh...you guys serious?" He played along.

"Well he's just my fiance now so...I guess it's kinda serious."

He laughed and I hugged him. "Okay okay, back to being serious...I know this is going to come off as me being paranoid but Daisy...If we're ever going to work as a couple in any stage of our relationship...I know you have no connection to him as he rejected you...but Daisy my flower you have to reject him as well for the bond to completely severe."

"There is no bond." I protested.

"You don't have a bond with him, but my flower, he has a bond with you...It's small, but it's still there since he initiated contact with you before you shifted and he was already a shifted Were...that's why there was never a bond for you but there a small bond for him."

"Then of course, I have no problem rejecting him...h-how's Blithe?" I asked worried.

"Honestly I don't know, and I don't think she knows either."

"She must hate me." I sighed thinking of how I could have possibly lost one of my only friends in Ironsmith other than Cade.

He shook his head, "She was pissed when she found out the truth but more s that I pushed you away...If i know my cousin as well as I think I do, she would never blame you, I know she loves her husband but this is a big betrayal as he kept many secrets from her...I think she'll try and make it work but I don't expect it to last for very long...especially after I offer her the position of Beta."

I smiled and nodded. "I think she'll be perfect for the job."

He nodded, "I do too."

I sighed heavily and let my body fall onto one of the sofas behind me, "I hate that I even have to reject him...like I would have though by him doing it the first time around it would have gotten rid of any connection to me altogether." I grumbled.

He took the seat next to me and I rested my head on his shoulder.

"If it will help you, I will be right there with you."

"It will help, and thank you." I sounded as I let my fingers lace with his.

"I'd do anything for you Daisy...I want you to always know that."

I kissed him and the sound of a throat clearing hit my ears. I moved and looked over at the door way.

"So I'm guessing congratulations are in order?" My mom asked.

"You knew he was here the whole time didn't you?" I asked humored.

She smiled, "Your Father called me when Cade showed up, told me how torn up the poor guy was."

I looked at Cade, "I was pretty upset too." I assured him.

He lifted my hand and kissed the back of it as a silent form of apology.

"So you've accepted Cade Irons as your husband then?" Dad asked.

"Yes sir."

My parents sat down and we filled them in on all the details so far. They understood about my wanting to move to be near Cade and loved the fact that I wasn't going to be living with him just yet.
