Chapter Sixty Eight: Matrimony Pt Two
Cade
***I took my place in front of the arch and watched on as my cousin and Ieston made their way up the aisle together.
He gave her a quick peck on the cheek before they parted for her to go over to the opposite side of us, he joined me and clapped my back. I smirked and looked back at him before we watched Theo and Anise.
Theo took care to respect that Daisy's lovely sister in fact has a mate so she simply held onto the crook of his arm as the walked the aisle, once they made it to the arch Anise gave me a quick hug and Theo offered me a brotherly nudge.
The kids came next.
The doors had closed behind Wren and Cora and I smiled as I watched Wren carefully holding Cora's hand, Daisy had decided that tossing the flowers might be too much of a distraction for Cora (as even so little she's quite the perfectionist) so instead Daisy had a small bouquet made for her to carry just like the other bridesmaids.
When they both reached the archway I bent down so Cora could give me one of my favorite little hugs with her tiny arms around my neck and a sweet little kiss on my cheek, and then turned to Wren, Shy as he is, he too gave me a full hug before Blithe held out her hand for Cora to join them and Wren took his position next to my men.
The music changed and I took a deep breath.
The doors reopened and there stood Daisy and her father.
But the minute my wolf and I saw our mate everything else around us faded away.
I knew our family and friends would be standing out of wedding protocols, I knew her mother would be weeping at how stunning she looked, and more than likely Blithe and Anise as well.
But I couldn't see any of that as I was completely consumed but her, by Our Daisy.
I didn't miss one detail as she made her way to me.
I would always remeber the way her beautiful blonde hair was brushed smoothly back with a few defiant locks falling forward, caressing her angelic face lightly.
How a lovely permanent smile was on full display for me.
The way her elegant gown had displayed her gorgeous body, the way it moved with the sway of her hips.
How the delicate veil billowed behind her with the light breeze of the oncoming dusk.
Once she was with me, I could only look at her, her beautiful scent filled me and I was actually at a loss for words.
"H-Hi" I finally got out.

Daisy
"Hi" I replied with a nervous little laugh.
The council member who would act as officiant began speaking. He spoke about love and patience, and the lovely things about Mates.
But none of what he said even mattered to me as I looked at my handsome Cade.
I could feel that he was just as emotional as I was, this was something that we had both wanted for so long, made even better to finally be doing this together.
I looked at him and couldn't ever imagine it being anyone else...loving another, marrying some stranger...no, never...I know in my heart that it was always him, it was always suppose to be Cade.
"Cade and Daisy have written their own vows." The Council Member sounded and I snapped out of it as I didn't want to miss Cade's vows.
"Alpha Irons, if you will please?"
Cade nodded and pulled out our vows from his jacket pocket, he handed me my slip of paper and He unfolded his own.
He cleared his throat and looked at me with soft and caring eyes.
"Daisy, I love you... You are my best friend and today I give myself to you in marriage." He said as he his emotions got the best of him. I reached up to clear away the fallen tear from his cheek and he reached up to hold my hand to his cheek before he kissed my palm and brought my hand down while still keeping hold of the same hand, possibly for strength but mostly out of love.
"I promise to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you in times of joy and comfort you in times of sorrow.... I will share in your dreams and support you as you strive to achieve your goals. I will listen to you with compassion and understanding, and speak to you with encouragement....I promise to love you in good times and in bad...when our love is simple, and when it is an effort...I promise to cherish you and to always hold you in the highest regard...I want to grow with you, and learn from you, and always hold your hand...My Flower, from this day forward I promise you these things. I will remain faithful to our vows for better or for worse, in times of sickness and health...You are my best friend and I will love and respect you always, These things I give to you today, and all the days of our life."
Of course I was a mess and thankfully Blithe handed me a handkercheif.
I took care in lightly cleaning up the tears from my eyes and then let out a deep breath.
"Hard to follow that..." I said with a playful smile, our friends and family in attendance chuckled a little but then I got serious.
"Cade, I take you, to be my partner and husband...always loving what I know of you, and trusting what I do not yet know..." My breath came out shaky and I cleared my throat a little and adjusted the paper that had my vows.
"I eagerly anticipate the chance to grow together, getting to know the Man you will become, and falling in love a little with you more every day...I promise to love and cherish you through whatever life may bring us, encourage and challange you, and get on every last grating nerve...but I also promise that there will never be anyone who can love you more than I do, my heart is yours completely...you are my best friend and my mate, I look forward to our neverending journey of love and happiness as your Mate, Friend, Wife, and Luna... for all our days to come, I am Yours."
He kissed the hand he was still holding and smiled at me, together we moved to sign our marriage license.
Daisy B. Irons
I smiled at my new signature, and I felt my wolf's contentment as well.
Cade escorted me back to our previous spots in front of the alter, The same Council member smiled at us and nodded.
"Very well...I suppose it's that time we've all been waiting for...I know Cade's ready." He chuckled. "Cade Irons, you may now kiss your bride."
Cade blushed a little, before he took one step forward, leaving little to space between us (but that's how my wolf and I liked it) he gently took my face into both hands and kissed each of my cheeks before he placed the most loving and lingering peck onto my lips.
There were sounds of whistling and rowdy cheering, but the council member calmed everyone down.
"It is with my extreme pleasure and delight that I formally introduce you all to Mister and Missus Irons, Alpha and Luna of the IronSmith Pack."
