Chapter Thirty: Nicked pt. One
Daisy
***

"I'll see you later tonight." Blithe sounded as she unlocked Cade's front door for me.

"You will?" I asked, completely confused as I tried to remember if I had actually agreed to spending the evening with her at some point today.

She giggled, "Yeah...of course you and Cade have to come to dinner."

"Oh." I sounded unsure, I felt like accepting her offer wouldn't hurt...at the same time I felt that accepting for Cade was overstepping and I voiced such. "Well I don't mind coming, but I can't speak for your cousin."

She rolled her eyes, "He'll be there, so dinner...nothing fancy so don't bother bringing anything but yourselves." She said before pulling me into a hug.

While I don't oppose physical forms of affection in the slightest, for one, I was caught off guard and wasn't expecting it, and for two...while Blithe is quite friendly I hardly know her.

But I hugged her back and smiled at her when we moved apart. "See you tonight." I said as she was now offically leaving.

I closed the door and locked it behind her and walked around the living room. I took a comfortable seat on his sofa and looked around. Since I didn't know what time Cade would be getting off of work I was all alone. More so I was bored.

I guess I could've played tourist alone in the city, but I'd hate to get lost, also I didn't have a key so couldn't lock the door behind me, and I'd hate for Cade to come back to his house expecting to find me there and then have to come out looking for me.

Feeling a little tired from not only having lunch with Blithe and my little stop at Cade's office, Blithe had also walked and talked through the city earlier.

I got up from the sofa and went upstairs and resigned to have a nap.

But once I made it to the guest room I laid on the bed and pulled out my phone, I remembered I had a missed call from my mom and decided to call her back.

Only of course when I had the time to talk she didn't. So with a sigh I left a voice message.

"Hey Mom, Just calling to check in...C-Alpha Cade's pack is gorgeous and very welcoming, it's nothing like I've ever seen before. His cousin Blithe is very hospitable and sweet, She showed me around the city portion of their pack today and tonight we'll be hosting a dinner for the Alpha. I miss you and Dad and love you...I'll call and check in later in the week."

After I hung up I laid there for a moment as I was filled with guilt.

I hated lying to my parents, but Cade told them I'd be staying with Blithe and so I had to make it seem like I was with her the entire time.

Once I got over it I ended up hopping onto one of my favorite sights for recipes. I had decided that one night I'd like to cook dinner for Cade, it's a small thanks for having me here but I think he'd appreciate the gesture all the same.

As I scrolled through the recipes for dinner I then found myself looking at desserts, and moved on to outfits which led to me finding a dress that would look great on my sister and I decided to call her.

_____

Cade

When I arrived home my wolf was actually excited to be there as we both knew Daisy was inside.

I unlocked the front door and let myself in. I put my breifcase down and tossed my keys into the little dish I had on the side table next to the front door.

As I got out of my suit jacket I noticed a pair of high heels that Daisy must've worn out today...to be honest I was a little distracted by her figure hugging dress to notice her footwear of choice.

I removed my tie and placed it on the side table as well before i unbuttoned my top button and the small buttons holding my cuffs closed.

I did a lazy job of rolling up my sleeves as I made my way up the stairs.

I smirked as I heard Daisy talking in the guest room. Since the door was opened I walked in and leaned against the door frame.

My smirk remained as I watched her laughing and smiling on the phone with someone.

"Hey I'm gonna talk to you later alright, I need to get ready...yeah, Love you too, bye."

I had to admit I was more than curious to find out who the recipient of her "love you too" was.

She looked over at me and smiled as she turned off her phone, "Just talking to my sister."

I nodded, "Don't know if you were informed or not...but my cousin invited us over to her place for dinner."

She nodded, "She asked us not to bring anything."

This time I was the one to nod, "Also, I wanted to thank you for lunch."

She shrugged, "It was nothing."

At this I shook my head, "Not nothing...I appreciated the fact that you went out of your way to think about me, and worry enough to not only get something for me, but bring it over personally."

"How else would you have gotten it?" She asked as she made her way over to me.

I placed my hands on her hips, her arms went around the back of my neck, I leaned down just a bit so I could kiss her. "You could've always ordered food for me and it'd of been delivered."

Still in the same positions she looked like she was thinking about my suggestion, "I'll have to keep that in mind for next time."

I smirked and shook my head. "Nope, I like having my own personal waitress in you."

She smiled and looked up at me before one of her hands touched my cheeks and pressed them together so that I now had a protruded pout and she giggled and kissed my pout before moving back and walking over to the bed.

"You're getting shaggy again." She said as She took a seat on the bed.

I knew she was talking about my facial hair, "I should probably shave." I said as I walked forward , she nodded her head in agreement but I smirked. "Then again, I kinda like the way my longer beard tickles your neck."

"It does not."

"Really?" I asked humored now, Had she forgotten about our incident back at the bar?

Daisy had an amazing way to make me more playful than I normally am.

And that's why I playfully attacked her with more kisses but this time on her neck to prove my point.

Immediately she fell into a fit of laughter.

Her excitement mixed with her all too familiar scent filled me and I had to admit that it was beginning to turn me on.

In fact my teeth had enlongated and her jerking movements mixed with my wide smile from hearing her laugh wasn't the best idea. As soon, my teeth had managed to scratch her right in the same spot a Luna would typically bear her Alpha's mark.

She gasped and pushed me off of her.

My heart was racing, what had I just done? I felt like shit.
