Chapter Twenty Nine: Lunch

"I'm so glad we could take this time to talk and all get on the same page." I said with relief.

I looked up at my business partner and visibily saw the same relief on his face as the rest of our team nervously  awaited our next move.

Then movement outside of the confrence room caught my eye.

I smirked as I watched Daisy elegantly stroll through the office.

I looked back at the speaker phone but caught Ieston looking at me with a questioning look.

"I'm also working on securing an alliance with Sunderland which would open up the trade road for us so hopefully we can all start getting our products shipped and delivered sooner."

Ieston shook his head ever so slightly.

I had spoken to my Beta, he had his aversions about our pack putting so much investment into the Sunderland pack when all that was on the line was Daisy accepting me as a potential husband.

Something I haven't even brought up to Daisy as I don't want to scare her off.

And don't get me wrong I'm not an idiot, I know if she turns me down I'm going to lose a lot but If last night is any indication of our mutual feelings toward one another I'm pretty sure we're good to go.

The manufacturing company sounded impressed and they said their goodbyes before I excused myself and rushed to my office.

"I think I could get use to finding you in my office." I said as I watched her stand up straight, she had obviously been trying to leave me a note.

She smirked and picked up a brown bag and a fountain drink.. "I brought you lunch...didn't want you starving yourself."

"Yeah, Anything good?"

"It's super greasy, super unhealthy so...it should be delicious." She smiled.

I took the food and drink and put it on my desk and leaned against my desk  before I placed my hands on her hips and pulled her between my legs.

"Cade." She gasped before I kissed her.

But her protest was soon replaced with a lovely moan as I kissed her and drew her in closer to me.

Just then there was a knock on my office door and she pulled away with a worried face, swollen lips and blush stained cheeks.

I gave her another quick peck on the lips before I sighed and gave her butt a pat to get her to step back a little so I could stand up fully and answer the door.

"I should go, your cousin is waiting for me downstairs."

I nodded, "Hold on okay?"

This time she nodded and I opened the door, I found a young man from the internship program.

"Here are the reports you've asked for, Mister Wells approved them but wants your final approval on them as well before he moves forward on anything."

"I will look over these and email him later."

The young man left and I motioned for Daisy to come with me, I knew she had to leave and I'd make sure I personally saw her out because I didn't want any of the other guys in the building staring at her, I couldn't even begin to imagine how many males here in the building had saw her enter and lustfully watched her as she walked around in her figure hugging dress.

I took a deep breath and placed my hand on the small of her back as I walked us to the elevators.

I was glad she hadn't protested to my small touch as it was actually helping to calm my wolf down.
