Preliminary Rounds Part 2

(Aman's POV)

The first names showed up on the board. 'Oh great. Duck Butt just had to be first didn't he. Well this should be interesting.'

The proctor gave them the 'ok' to fight, and they were off. 

They fought for a while, but then the dude he was fighting pulled a new trick. It would appear he can steal chakra. Thst's.....AWESOME!! But bad for Sasuke. 

'Oh no. He's running out of steam. I probably shouldn't do this, but I really want this kid to pass.'

Right before he ran out of all his chakra, I transferred him some of mine. Yeah, I can do that. That's a thing. He suddenly had a burst of energy, and using Bushy Brow 2's move, and the Lion's Barrage, and took the guy down. 

'That's definitely Itachi's little brother,'  I thought while nodding my head in approval. Just as the proctor declared Sasuke the winner, he started to fall, I jumped down there so quick you couldn't even see, and caught him before he hit the ground. 

"Here, I'll take him to the medical room. You guys stay here for the next fight," I told a medical core ninja. He nodded and I walked away with Sasuke unconscious in my arms. He started to stir and opened his eyes alittle.

(Duck Butt's POV)

What's going on? Hold on, is someone holding me?

I looked up and saw Aman-sensei carrying me. My eyes widened, and I started to blush.

"A-Aman-sensei! W-What are you doing?!"

"Relax kid. I'm taking you to a medical room. You got pretty beat up in that fight. But at least you won!" she replied with her signature smirk. I blushed ever more. What the heck was wrong with me?! I couldn't think about it much longer, her embrace was so comforting, I fell right back asleep.

(Time Skip. Aman's POV)

I sat by his bed waiting for him to wake up. I saw him stir and open his eyes.

"Glad your alright. I wouldn't want you dying on my watch, because then I would be breaking my promise," I told him with my eyes still on  the book I was reading.

"I can't believe I was so weak as to passing out after the round," Duck Butt complained.

"Kid, you're not weak. You just aren't used to the power I gave you in that fight," I told him, still not looking up.

"You what?! Ugh! I'm not even powerful enough to finish a fight on my own! How could I possibly hope to beat him..."

I finally looked up at him.

"Look, Sasuke. You're still just a kid. And I know very well that you want revenge, but you have to focuse on other things to. Like how your gonna get threw the last part of the Chunin exams."

He looked at me with shock in his eyes.

"Wait..how did you know I wanted revenge?"

"That's not important. What's important, is that you work at a stable pace to get strong enough to beat him, but most importantly...is that you don't go down the wrong path to get that power," I told him with sternness in my wolf like eyes. 

He looked down and sighed. I sighed as well.

"Well, I hope you get better. Just don't over do it. I gotta get back to the preliminary rounds," I told him and left.

(Time skip) 

The fights were something else, I have to say. I was very proud of Naruto for making it through, Minato would be so proud I'm sure of it. And the show down between Sakura, and this girl Ino, who is Sakura's rival apparently, was pretty awesome. It ended in a draw though. And there was a fight between two Hyūga kids. That was awesome. Poor Bushy Brow 2, got all messed up by Gara, but it was impressive how far he got to him. You can't blame Gara for his blood lust, it's the Shukaku. But there was one kid that caught my eye. I think Shikamaru was his name. He was pretty dang clever.

The rounds were over and the opponents of the next fight were cosen. The fight was in a month, and poor Duck Butt got Gara. Maybe with the Chidori, he can get farther than most. After everyone left I went to go find that kid with the pineapple hair, Shikamaru. I saw his spiky hair turn a corner. 

"Hey kid! Shikamaru was it?" I yelled out to him, and he stopped and turned around.

(Shika's POV)

I was walking away from the preliminary rounds, ugh what a drag to have to fight again. I heard someone yell my name from behind me. I turned and saw a, well I hate to admit it but she was really pretty, lady behind me. I think that's the lady who was with Sasuke, and fought Kabuto for no reason. Ugh, what a drag.

"Yeah, that's me," I said with a lazy tone.

"I just wanted to say I was impressed with your cleverness in your fight. I'm Aman. Team 7's other sensei," she stuck out her hand for me to shake. I shook it the spoke.

"Cool. Nice to meet ya, Aman-sensei."

"Perhaps I could help you with some strategy for your fight next month. Care for a game of Shogi?" she asked.

"Eh, why not. Sure."

She smiled and we went back to my house.

"Mom, Dad! I'm home" I yelled as I walked through the door. 

"Ah, hello, Shikamaru. How were the preliminary rounds? Oo, and who's that?" my mom said as she walked into the room.

"It went well, I won. And this is Aman-sensei. She's helping me with strategy training for the next fight."

"Well that's wonderful dear. It's nice to meet you, Aman. You can call me Yoshino."

"It's wonderful to meet you, Mrs. Yoshino," Aman-sensei said with a small bow. 

"Shikaku! Come meet Shikamaru's trainer for the next fight!" Mom yelled to Dad.

(Third Person POV)

A man that looked a lot like Shikmaru entered the room.

"Honey, this is Aman. She'll be helping train Shikamaru for the next fight," Yoshino told Shikaku.

"Well hello Aman. Say..hey! You were one of Minato's students back in the day!" Shikaku exclaimed to Aman.

"Oh yeah. I was. And yeah I remember you, Mr. Shikaku. You were part of the 'Ino-Shika-Cho' move!" Aman exclaimed.

Shikamaru just watched until he got bored of them talking.

"Well then, I think Aman-sensei and I are going to go train now," Shikamaru said pulling Aman into the other room.

'This is gonna be great!' Aman thought.
