As I pull into my driveway I groan when I see Mikey sitting on the front steps playing on his phone; I completely forgot about dying his hair today.
“Um, maybe I should just go back home,” Luke says quietly from the passenger seat beside me, I know that after what happened at lunch the other day he is nervous about being around my friends.
“No Luke, it’s really okay. Please stay,” I answer, giving him a small smile as I see him look nervously out the windshield at Michael. He sighs, but nods his head meaning he will stay. I quickly hop out the car so as not to make Mikey wait any longer.
“Where the hell have you been? I’ve been sitting on your porch for like fifteen minutes!” he exclaims as soon as I get out of the car, rising from his spot on the porch.
“Nice to see you too,” I mutter, giving him a grin as I walk around to the front of my car and wait for Luke to get out. As he does I see Michael’s eyes get wide and then they get even larger (if that is even possible) when Luke comes around to the front of the car and entwines his hand with my own.
“Did you guys do it? Oh my gosh, did you come here to do it? Because I can certainly leave if that’s the case, my hair doesn’t need to be dyed that badly,” Michael snorts with a laugh, obviously cracking himself up.
“Gosh shut up Mikey, we did not do it,” I answer releasing my hand from Luke’s and throwing my arms up in the air. I walk ahead of the two boys so I can unlock the door but turn around with a glare when I hear Mikey trying to whisper to Luke.
“So did you really do it? You can tell me. Was little Ellie good in bed, I’ve always kind of wondered what she would……” Mikey is whispering, but stops when he looks over from Luke and sees me glaring at him. “What?” he asks innocently, bringing his shoulders up and putting an innocent smile on his face.
I glance over at Luke and see that he has his arm around the back of his neck, a smirk on his face while he is biting his bottom lip. Damn, he looks so good. It’s like the perfect combination of cute, little, shy boy and cocky, arrogant, sexy man. Okay, maybe I am taking it a little too far but he looks pretty dang good. He seems to be amused by the questions Mikey is asking but also seems kind of embarrassed, not wanting to answer any of them even though we haven’t done anything.
“Quit asking Luke questions! What is it with you and your obsession with sex?! Jeez, when’s the last time you got laid?” I exclaim, opening the door to my house so we can all get in.
“It has actually been a while, I need to get on that. Pun intended,” he says, raising his hand for a high five and I can’t help but return it because it was actually a pretty good pun. Even Luke lets out a large laugh. “Anyways, I’m a boy going through puberty. Did you not pay attention in health? Boys going through puberty think about sex all the time, so I’m just part of the norm baby,” he winks, causing Luke to let out another laugh. I give both of them a glare stopping any further laughter about the idea of sex.
“So Luke, pizza or Chinese?” Michael asks as I walk towards the kitchen with them following so I can get a drink. I realize that I am still in Luke’s sweat pants and shirt so now I kind of feel bad for being mad at Mikey for assuming we had sex, I mean it kind of looks like it.
“Uh what?” Luke answers, having no idea what he is talking about. I hand Luke a Coke and we all go towards the living room to sit on the couch. Michael immediately takes the remote in his hands and starts flipping through channels.
“Before we dye my hair I need food, so do you want Chinese or pizza?” Michael asks like it was the most obvious question in the world.
“Either is fine with me,” Luke says quietly. I feel like he is still nervous around Mikey, not really knowing what to say.
