Chapter 11

Second POV:

After getting somehow lectured by Oikawa about how slow and such a pain both of you are, you spent the rest of the day walking around as a new couple.

At least that's what it was supposed to be...

The air around the both of you isn't as it used to be, all calm and full of life and laughter. Now... All is felt is quietness and awkwardness. The day was spent with awkward small talk as if you guys just met and don't know anything about each other.

However, you couldn't think of anything to get things back to normal, the idea that you and Iwaizumi are dating... You're a couple now... Like officially... You couldn't believe it. The last time you had a crush on someone was when you were in middle school on your best friend who moved to Tokyo, and you didn't do anything about it since you didn't want to ruin the friendship.

So this is beyond your experience! Do you regret confessing? Of course not! You want things to work out with Iwaizumi; you just have to find a way to get out of this awkward place!

At the end of the day, Iwaizumi offered to drop you home. He does feel how awkward it is between the both of you, and he thought if he spent more time with you by dropping you home, he would be able to remove the awkwardness and bring back the environment that he loved to have around the both of you.

Halfway home, he decided to make a move and see where it would lead him. It was better than just to stay the way it is now. He starts walking closer to you and take a few seconds to look at your hand and back in front of him.

Your nervousness kept you from noticing his little move and his attempt at getting closer to you. He tried more and more, every time his fingers would brush yours, both of you would instantly pull back, feeling shy and even more nervous!

Then, "(L/N)-san... C-Can I by any chance, umm, do you want to hold hands? I mean only if you want to... If you don't like it, I understand..." He said it... He was so nervous to ask; his sentence came out all stuttering.

"S-Sure... I would love to." You blush at his question and get closer to him, putting your hand in his and holding it.

Suddenly, you felt your heart relax and calm down, you didn't feel as nervous anymore, and you liked how his hand felt when he held yours. You felt the reality of your new relationship, and you were happy and glad that you were able to confess and be this close to him.

It didn't take long to get home after all this. It took so long for Iwaizumi to ask you to hold hands and you were too nervous to notice him, but when he finally did, you were almost home.

"Just when I finally got myself to hold your hand haha..."

"I guess I wasn't the only nervous one."

You both stop in front of your house, no one moving. As he stood in front of you and held both of your hands in his. You were enjoying the warmth that came from your hands. Looking at them, both of you were smiling and feeling how perfect it is.

"I just realized how small your hands are." He says as he rubs in his thumbs on your hands. He didn't even avert his eyes to look at you; your small hands had all his attention.

"Well, I'm a small person in general I guess." You blush at his comment and the way he keeps rubbing his thumbs. You wished you weren't home and you were still walking around with him.

"I guess I should let you get home haha, I'll text you later?"

"Sure! Get home safely!"

"Goodnight (L/N)-san." He slowly lets go of your hands and starts walking away.
