Chapter 9

Second POV:

"Are you free tomorrow?"

"Eh? Ummm... Ya, I guess?" You were taken back by the sudden question. Iwaizumi never used to make the initiative to ask you to go somewhere? Were you going to miss the chance? Of course not!

"Great. We have a practice match tomorrow. How about you come and watch me beat Oikawa? Since it was your idea?" Iwaizumi invited you without a single pause or stutter! You could somehow feel how sure he is of all this!

"Oh! Sure! I did say I would come to cheer for you!" You didn't want him to be the only one being all confident! Two can play at that game!

"Perfect! And maybe after the game, we could... Maybe go somewhere else you would like?" Now he couldn't ask this part as forward as the last. He was rubbing the back of his neck and not looking straight at you for too long.

"Ya... That would be nice..." That took Iwaizumi by surprise but in a happy way. You are both slightly blushing and all happy on the inside.

You repeat your goodbyes and go inside your house. Still feeling the heat on your cheeks, you take your time to calm down a bit before going to greet your parents.

"So who's the cute hottie dropping you home?"

"MOM! You scared me! Don't do that!"

"So? Is he in your class?" She gestures you to come in and sit in the kitchen and share everything you know about the boy dropping her daughter off.

"He's from a different school..." You can feel your cheeks going hot again just by talking about him.

"Wow! How did you meet?" She is just there sipping her coffee and watching your reactions going from red like a tomato to a nervous wreck.

"Remember that double date (F/N) dragged me to?"

"Which one? You told me that twice haha." You tell your mom almost everything. It's easier that way if you need advice and help. Plus, you get no benefits from hiding stuff from your parents, they will eventually find out somehow... It's their magic power...

"Well, both. He was there at both. But we got closer during the second one after a misunderstanding, and it just went from there."

"Ooooh, so you admit there is something between you huh!" You hate it when she teases you... She's good at it!

"No! I-I guess... I don't know mom!" Hiding your face with your hands was the only escape for you.

"Well, he asked you out, that's a start."

"Were you eavesdropping?!"

"Well, he's the best-looking person you have met or gotten around here! I was interested!"

"Oh my God! Don't judge my friends by their looks!"

Both of you continue the talk about Iwaizumi and your date tomorrow. She thought of outfits for you to wear, places you could go. She even thought of things you could say to 'lure' him in. That's the word she used.

Let's just say the night did not end early for you. She ended up being more excited about it than you.

You woke up the next day, directly feeling nervous the second you remembered the little date you have with Iwaizumi. You distracted yourself and your brain, by doing your morning routine, listening to music, dancing around the room a little. Last by not least, you got ready and prepared yourself mentally.

You headed out of the house with your mom wishing you good luck and made your way to the school.

On your way there, you thought of things you could talk to Iwaizumi about. Places you could go to, anything really. You wanted this day to be perfect! For the first time since you guys met, you are going out without it being initiated by the other crazies, and it feels great!
