Chapter 22

Second POV:

"Augh! Hajime! You need to help me out here!" The night is coming to an end, and you needed to get yourself and Iwaizumi home. He is somehow passed out or just not conscious enough to walk on his own and be aware of what is happening around him!

"Mmmm... I'll always help..." At least he is conscious enough to have a very unconnected conversation.

Everyone had a blast tonight. With Iwaizumi's little-drunk show and his declarations of love towards you, Jason and Matt were able to have a little alone time to connect and finally see that there actually is a spark between them.

"Jason! I'm sorry to pull you away from your future boyfriend, but I'm going to need you to help me out here! I can't drag him like this all the way home!" You said those exact words on purpose to embarrass those two boys who have been laughing at you while you struggled!

"(Y/N)!!" Jason is beat red, and he didn't want all his efforts tonight to go to waste!

"Haha... I don't know if I'm a future boyfriend..." Matt laughs sheepishly, embarrassed by your statement but at the same time, the words gave him hope for the future.

"Why? You don't like that idea?" Startled by Matt's reply, Jason thought he had no chance!

"No!! It sounds great! I-I just thought you wouldn't like that..."

"Me? On the contrary... I-I... The idea doesn't sound bad..."

"Really? You think so?"

Matt and Jason entirely focused on each other and forgetting everyone around them, entered their own world were getting closer and closer to each other, this was their chance, this was the moment where they see eye to eye and finally get somewhere!!

"HELLO!!! Sorry to interrupt your little romantic moment! But I have a big heavy athlete in my hands that is getting heavier and heavier by the second!" You scream at them to get them out of their fantasy world and get some help!

Jason ended up helping you out with Iwaizumi. He had decided that he would meet up with Matt in university from now on, and they want to see where this spark between them will lead them.

All the way home, Jason kept talking about Matt and what they have spoken about. However, you were a bit preoccupied with one thought in your head that just kept circling... making you very dizzy!

"(Y/N)? Are you listening to me?" Jason snapped you out of your thoughts by waving his hand in front of you!

"Huh? Sorry, what did you say?"

"What's wrong? You seem... Busy up there." He points to your head.

"Ya... Just thinking of some things..."

"Or maybe something..." He leaned forward looking at you... His eyes felt like he could see right through you. "That maybe... A specific someone said?"

'Darn those hazel eyes that can see into your soul...'

"I guess... "

"What about it that's making your head spin?" All the while, Iwaizumi is still passed out and being carried by Jason!

"If he actually meant it...?"

"You think he would say it if he didn't mean it?" Jason hasn't known Iwaizumi as long as you have. Therefore he can't speak for him or understand his actions like you do.

"W-Well no... But he was drunk... What if he never wanted to say it?"

"I get your worry about that. But think about it that way, if he never wanted to ask, why would it be in his mind for him to blab it out when he is drunk?"
