You and the rest of your classmates then found yourselves munching on the food the Pussycats had prepared after poor Midoriya took a jab to his jewels. At least you found a kid you could mentally relate to.
You were sat in between Mezo Shouji and Kyouka Jirou, while across you sat Eijirou Kirishima and Denki Kaminari, who were both talking while eating. It kind of irked you a bit, but you never voiced your discomfort, not wanting to ruin the calm atmosphere around you.
"IS THAT A CLAY POT?!" Kirishima suddenly exclaimed, making you snap your eyes to Pixie-Bob who passed by your table carrying an earth-pot.
I swear to god if she does not bring that here right now I'm gonna–
"Yep!" Pixie-Bob replied cheerfully. "Like we said earlier, we're going to spoil you guys with food today but starting tomorrow, you're going to do things by yourselves. Consider this as your welcome party."
You could've sworn the two males in front of you cried tears of joy after she sat the pot on your table. After all those years of eating alone in front of Kurogiri watching you, you suddenly felt something settle at the pit of your stomach; something that made your eyes burn. You don't know what the feeling is, but it engulfed you like a warm blanket, as if it was something that you've yearned for after a long tiring day.
"Welcome party, huh?" You mumbled to yourself as you stuffed your mouth with rice.

"Ahhh, finally a hot spring," Hagakure commented as she submerged herself in the warm waters.
You had already found your spot at the furthest corner of the bath while the rest of the girls were gathered near the wooden wall that separates the genders. Yes, the boys are literally at the other side of that wall, and you can literally hear Class Representative Iida–you've just learned about it earlier that day before you boarded the bus–scold a certain midget who shouted Plus Ultra before you saw a red cap pop out from the top of the wall.
You didn't hear what the kid said, but you were certain that he pushed the pervert off as you heard a wet thud on the other side of the wall. "You rock, Kouta!" Ashido was literally sitting on the side of the bath, not even minding what the poor kid was going to see as she waved at him.
"Wait," you stated, your eyes widening as you noticed that the kid was turning around. "Don't–!" But it was too late as his eyes landed on the girls crowded near his side. His eyes widened before he tilted to one side and completely disappeared.
You face-palmed yourself as you heard another wet thud on the other side. You may be considered as a villain, but at least you know how manners worked.
"O-oh? Hey! Are you alright?" Ashido called and you heard someone reply from the other side. When you heard Midoriya reply that he caught the kid, you let out a sigh of relief.
You lowered yourself under water until only the upper half of your face is exposed. You watched how easily the other girls talked, laugh and joked with each other. This is probably what you were missing the entire time you were going to dangerous missions, doing relentless trainings, and going on useless killing sprees. You knew that you could've escaped when you had mastered your quirk, but why did you stay? You knew that you're more powerful than Kurogiri and Shigaraki no matter what perspective you looked at. Yet you still remained in that empty bar, wasting away your unproductive days by drinking through the endless collection of wines and rums Kurogiri has.
And now that you're technically 'free', why do you feel like you're being tied down? The terms you had agreed to with Aizawa, Nezu and All Might had nothing to do with this feeling–the feeling of just wanting to run away and not look back. To you, everything does not feel right. You wanted to burn everything to the ground yet at the same time you want to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
My mind's a fucking mess, that's for sure.
"Hey, uh, [L/n]-chan?" Uraraka's voice called to you, making you look up at her figure that had approached you. You were so deep in your thoughts that you hadn't noticed the other girls approach you. "Are you alright? You've been having that angry look ever since Kouta fell down. Is something wrong?"
You were surprised on how soft and sincere her words are. It almost made you choke at the warm spring water. You sat up straight, pulling your neck out of the water as you hugged your knees close to your chest. "I'm fine, don't worry about me," you stated as softly as you could. But you didn't miss the way your voice broke at the end. You mentally reprimanded yourself.
"You sure?" Ashido piped in. "You can talk to us, you know."
Yaoyorozu, who was to your right, added, "If there's something bothering you, you shouldn't keep it all in. Trust me, I know the feeling."
To be honest, you're surprised on how the girls had suddenly looked at you expectantly, like they knew you're burdened with all these unexplained things from the moment Aizawa had took you under his wing. Your gaze dropped to the waters in front if you as you placed your chin on top of your knees that poked out of the water.
"It's just that . . . I don't know if staying with you guys is the right thing to do or if I should've ran away when I got the chance," you paused and awaited their reply. But when they stayed silent and took their places around you, you took it as a signal to continue. "I . . . I don't even know why you guys would just suddenly talk to me like I've never did something wrong to you guys. I mean, with the USJ incident and with me helping out Stain at Hosu, I already have a vague image in my head that you guys wanted to stay away from me as much as possible, or that you guys are just looking for an opportunity to get even with me. I don't even know if what I said made sense 'cause my mind is a fucking mess right now. I feel . . . lost."
A hand was placed on your shoulder and you looked up to see Asui giving you a soft smile, "We all believe that people can change if you give them a chance. And we want to start anew with you, if that's alright with you of course."
You blinked your eyes, "Start . . . anew?"
She nodded then Hagakure spoke, her location was made known through the towel wrapped around her head, "Like you said, you could've left but you didn't. You may not know it yet, but I think your heart knows where it truly wants to be."
My heart . . . Your hand involuntarily went to your chest. Knows where it truly wants to be . . .
"[Y/n]~" your mother cooed to you. You were around five that time and your quirk just manifested. "What are you thinking of?"
You were sitting at her lap, playing with her long strands of hair as the both of you sat at the porch of your house enjoying the afternoon sun. A small frown settled upon your features as you replied, "I don't think the kids at my school will like me because my quirk sucks."
Your mother chuckled as she stroked your hair white, "No it doesn't. What would be a cooler quirk than joining two things together to create a whole new one?"
"But mom~" you pouted. "Do you think I'll fit in with the kids at school?"
"Of course you will, dear. Why do you think so?"
"'Cause they said my quirk will never be that flashy. And I think I'll be just an outcast," you stated as sadness filled your voice.
"Don't cry, my dear," your mom cooed as she lifted your chin to look at her. Tears were brimming you ocean eyes as she stated, "You will never be an outcast. Why? It's because your heart will always know where it truly belongs."
"[L/n]-chan?" Uraraka called when she noticed a few stray tears left your eyes.
"I . . ." You sobbed, not even bothering to stop yourself. "I'm sorry." Tears freely flowed from your eyes as you furiously tried to wipe them away. Sobs rocked your shoulders as you continued to apologize to them. Then you felt arms wrap around you.
Warm arms that felt like home.
