When I woke up, the first thing I did was take a shower. Being in a horrible orphanage like mine, you don't get them often. The shampoo didn't look right, but maybe it's the stuff they use here.
Anyway, after the shower, I find a camp shirt waiting for me. I slip it on. I didn't notice anything wrong at first. All except for the fact that our hair was blue. I was steaming mad. Not only did it look hideous, my scalp was itching as well. I knew exactly who did this.
It turns out, every cabin got a different hair color. The Ares cabin got pink of all colors. Clarisse was having a fit. That's when I made my plan to get Connor and Travis back (I learned everyone's name from my half-siblings).
Those two can't resist stealing stuff. I put out two prank war materials out where only they could see them. When they pulled it, a gallon of pegasi waste was dumped on them. I set it up and waited hidden behind some stuff.
I waited for five minutes. When they saw it, they looked around to make sure no one was watching. They each took the bait. The gallon of waste dumped on both of them. They looked around. They looked mad, then they started laughing.
Travis spoke up, "Okay, who did it?"
"We won't be mad!" Connor added.
I came out of nowhere laughing. When they saw me, they burst out laughing as well. "You are the first one to get us back." Connor said.
I smiled. "You needed to be taught a lesson."
Travis looked at me. "Give me a hug for a job well done."
"Nope! I'm good."
I started to run. He was faster and caught up. Unfortunately, he picked me up, covering me in everything."No! Gross!" I said while laughing.
Chiron came up to us. "What happened here?"
Travis raised my hand like I'd just won match. "This here is the girl who got us back! Pegasi waste!"
Chiron chuckled. "The newcomer, eh? Good job. I suspect I will have a long year ahead of me."
I smiled at him. I was starting to grow fond of everyone. "Blue seriously? Why not a lighter blue? Why so dark?"
Travis raised his hands in surrender. "It was Connor's color! I only put it in your cabin!"
Connor laughed. "He refused to let me go in your cabin. He wanted to watch you sleep. Although I do admit at picking the color."
I raised my eyebrow at the "wanted to watch you sleep" part. Travis smacked his brother. "That's not true! Uuhh... what kind of person watches you sleep?" He said nervously.
"A kind of person that likes her." Connor retorted.
I feel like my eyebrow went even higher. "I don't like her!"
I don't understand why, but I felt my heart drop. I hope my face didn't show it. "Says the person who said she belongs in Aphrodite's cabin with her looks." Connor snapped.
"When did I say that?!"
"When you insisted on being the one to tour her and saying she was cute."
I felt like my eyebrow was gonna hop off my head. Travis glanced nervously at me. "I need to talk to you privately Connor."
I walked off to go take another shower. I ignored the other shampoo. I got a new one and freshened up. I put on an Apollo shirt that I had in my backpack. Sometimes I would stay out longer than usual so I brought extra clothes. The Apollo shirt had him shooting and arrow with the sun right behind him. As if he was shooting out of the shirt in the direction I'm facing.
I walked over to lunch with my cabin. I hope Dad likes ham sandwiches. We ate while talking. There was always something new at my cabin. Together, we made tons of poetry. Towards the end of the day, we went to the archery range. Being the children of Apollo, we never missed. We had a contest on who could shoot the most arrows.
Then it was time for a campfire. We sat and sang songs of joy. It was just as fun as usual. There was a new quest, but I got so distracted over everybody causing a chaos, that I didn't here anything. Lightning had struck down, and there was a new member to the Aphrodite cabin. After the campfire, we headed back. Travis and Connor still hadn't spoken to me after today.
While I was sleeping, I herd a knock at the window. A note from Connor was plastered on the window. I met him outside. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me all the way to his cabin."Look," he said. "Travis really does like you, if you haven't noticed. I can tell that you have. Will you join in on our pranks once in a while?" he pleaded.
"Sure but why drag me here?"
"I need you to get Travis."
"What?! Why me?"
"I just need you to."
I rolled my eyes. "Fine."
I tiptoed inside the cabin. Travis was on the bottom bunk luckily. I shook him. He lashed out at first. I stumbled from trying to back up which ended with me falling on Travis. He woke up completely. "What are you doing here?"
"Come outside."
He stared at me at first. "Okay."
Connor was still outside. He glared at me. "Did you really have to fall on him?"
"It's not like I chose to!"
Travis looked at us quizzically. Connor looked at Travis. "Liv, can I call you Liv?"
I nodded. "Liv is now joining us in our pranks. And...."
"Don't tell me that you..."
Connor nodded. Travis flipped out. "Seriously dude!?"
He shrugged. "I couldn't help it. Since you can't tell her your feelings, I did it for you."
"Now it'll ruin our friendship. Thanks a lot."
I shook my head. "It doesn't ruin our friendship at all."
He looked at me. "Do you feel the same way."
"You can't expect me to decide right away. Sure I think you're funny and cute, but growing up the way I did, I don't trust anyone. I never had any friends. I had a horrible orphanage. I was bullied by students and all my teachers. I was alone and learned to fend for myself. I was mugged countless of times. So do not expect me to make one choice all in one day."
He looked at me. "I think you may have had it rough. What happened to your mom."
"I don't know Travis. She died in a strange accident that nobody told me about. They said she was killed by someone. Now I think it's a something."
He looked down. "Ok." was all he said.
"The prank thing is good news right?" Connor asked.
We just nodded. I walked off to my cabin. I looked in the mirror and saw the blue was returning to my blonde locks. I fell asleep, torn into pieces.
