Trapped in a Barbie Playhouse

I walked hand in hand with Travis. I was just let out of the hospital. We walked back to my cabin, and he had me read him some poetry. I rested my head on his chest and was cradled in his arms as I read.

I heard a knock at the door. It was Mitchell. "What's up?"

"I have a letter from Drew." he handed me the note then left.

I turned around and sat on my bed. I opened it and read it aloud. "I am truly sorry about what happened. I want to make it up to you. Come over my cabin for a cup of tea ASAP."

I looked at Travis. "Yeah right. Don't go Liv."

I flipped it. "I missed a spot. PS I also have something that you would not want to miss out on. It is very important to you. It is the answer."

I read it over in my head. Travis stared at me. "Answer to what?"

"I suppose it's on why Hera killed my mom."

"What if it's a trap?"

"I guess I'll have to go to find out."

"Be careful, please. I don't want you to get hurt again."

"Oh please. I can handle this." he stared at me seriously. "Fine, I'll be careful."

I packed a dagger in my back pocket and headed out the door. Travis followed me there to make sure I wouldn't get ambushed on the way. That's what he said. I walked in and was immediately guided to a chair. The door was closed. I was trapped in the Barbie playhouse.

One of the members served the tea. Drew was silent at the time. When the tea was served, she spoke. "I am very sorry for what I did. I hope we can be friends."

"Are you serious?"

"Nope!" She giggled.

Will came up."Will? What are you doing here?"

He looked longingly at Drew. "I charmspoke him silly!"

Will came up and tied me to my chair by my stomach. They duct taped my ankles to the chair legs so I couldn't move at all. "Why are you doing this?"

"A favor to Hera. Also, I don't like you if you haven't noticed. Now drink or else. I will tell you why she killed your mom though. Hera knew what you were and still are. Your mom knew too, and your mom was a big distraction in your future. She was too involved. Hera took her off the obstacle list."

"Why does Hera hate me?"

"You are unusually strong. Also, Hera just naturally doesn't like you. She thinks you're too violent, shouldn't love a Hermes boy, and that you are too strong. You may ruin our own little perfect family, considering how hideous you are in my opinion."

I tried to lash out, but I was tied down to the point where I couldn't breathe that well. "Now drink or suffer a fate worse than death."

I glared at her."Fine."

One of the boys had a hand over Mitchell's mouth. He was trying to speak. I shrugged and drank. It had a lemony flavor. Drew was smiling evilly at me.

I looked at her quizzically. Then, I felt the room spin. I felt nauseated and dizzy. "What did you do?"

"Took care of the problem. No more threats from you."

She dug into my back pocket and grabbed my dagger. She held it to my neck. "I won't kill you now." she remarked. "I will later."She cut deep into my wrist. "This will hurt you well enough though."

I grimaced as she cut deeper. She dragged out the dagger. "You're a coward. You have to tie me up to beat me."

She twitched. "Better than losing."

They untied me and pushed me out the door. I stumbled outside and fell to my knees. I lay back onto the cabin. I couldn't walk right. That drink did something to me, and I'm losing so much blood right now.

Nobody passed me the past few hours though. They were all at dinner. I still felt nauseated. I could barely see now. Then, I saw Travis walk towards me. "Liv! Where have you been? You-"

He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the pool of blood next to me. He ran up to me and examined my wrist. He took one look at the deep cut and picked me up. "Oh Liv, I'm so sorry. I should have stayed. I should have come sooner. I'm taking you to the hospital right now. Then, I'm going to kill Drew."

I felt the camp spin as he ran to the hospital. Campers were gathering around us. He kept running. They rushed me into the infirmary. I tried to stay conscious the whole time. I yelled out in pain as they stopped the bleeding. They had to stitch it up. I started tearing up with every stitch. Then, it was all over. The blood started flowing again.

Travis stood by me the whole time. "It's going to be okay. You can sleep if you want to."

I nodded my head slightly and dozed off. When I woke up, Travis was still by my bed. It looked like the middle of the night. He was sleeping. I smiled at him and sat up. He still slept. I bent over and kissed his forehead. He mumbled in his sleep, and I got up. I walked to the window (holding on to nearby things) and stared out.

It was beautiful when it was dark. The moon lightened up the sky, and the stars speckled the endless space around it. Everything had an added effect of some sort. It's hard to pick a favorite, day or night, when the two are the same but entirely different. It's hard to explain.

I walked back to my bed and laid down in a position so that our heads were next to each other. I was restless so I sat up again. I played with his hair a little. Oh gods how I loved his hair, but I'm not going to torture you with all my reasons.

Travis eventually woke up. When he saw me sitting up, he wrapped his arms around me. I put my arms around his neck. He ended up picking me up and twirling me around. "Even death can't break us apart."

"It never will. I know my hero will always be there with me."

He smiled and carried me out. Dare I say, WITHOUT permission. It doesn't matter though. No one had the heart to pull us apart. He did come this close to losing me. He set me down. "I did learn why Hera killed my mom."

"How?" I told him the whole story. He shook his head. "That's messed up."

"It is, but no one can control a goddess. She hates me and hated my mother. I suppose she plans on killing me next."

"I wouldn't let her."

I smiled and kissed his cheek. "I know I can trust my hero."

"I wouldn't exactly be a hero."

"You are. You're mine."

Awe how sweet!

"I think your dad just talked to me."

"What?"

"Someone said, 'Awe how sweet!' in my head. I think your dad ships us."

"He what?"

"Oh never mind. I think he approves. I hope he can convince Dad. Make extra sacrifices Travis."

"I will."

I laughed and rested my head on his shoulder. "I am exhausted!"

Travis laughed. "I'll carry you, princess."

"Why thank you my prince."

He carried me to my cabin and put me on my bed (bottom bunk now). I yawned and curled up. Travis kissed my forehead and left.

As a surprise, I dreamed something girly. I dreamed about Travis. This was something new for me, and it wasn't about him getting killed either. This was a spot on girly dream, and I enjoyed it.
