I went out in the forest with my bow and arrow. I kept running, shooting the little things for a challenge. Nobody knew where I was though. I was alone, the way I liked it.
I kept making the things smaller. I wanted everything to be difficult. Every target I aimed at, I hit. I smiled at every new challenge. I aimed at something moving. It was a centipede. It died right on the spot. I was glad about that (they creep me out).
I continued walking on. I felt something shake me. There was nothing behind me or under me though. Strange but oh well. I continued walking. I eventually ran out of arrows. When I get back to camp, I'll refill.
I went on a type of hike from that point on. It was cool, spotting all these types of animals. Then, I spotted an animal that I did NOT want to see. It was a Minotaur. Great.
I had nothing to fight with. I was defenseless and terrified. Not a good combination. It charged at me, but I dodged it. It charged at me again. This time, it didn't miss. It threw me up into the air.
I landed flat on my back. I ran away and tried to hide, but it saw where I was hidden. It ran at my hiding spot. I jumped out and was only hit in the arm. My arm got hooked onto its horn. I was bounced in the air and tossed once again.
I tried to get up but I was exhausted. It trampled over my legs and took a step on my stomach as it did that. I was knocked out. I couldn't get up at all. My legs were broken. I ducked as it swung its head at me. There wasn't much I could do now. I crawled to a hole in a tree. I hid there.
It looked around for me. The Minotaur rest his eyes on my tree and looked inside. Its eyes brightened, then he charged. His horn stabbed my arm. I let out a scream. It charged again, stabbing my hip. It charged once more and hit my leg. The Minotaur knocked down the tree and I crashed. It gave a victorious smile and ran off.
I couldn't leave or ask for help. I found a space if water and hoped my plan would work. I took out a drachma and paid Iris. I looked for Nyssa. She turned around and saw the Iris message.
She let out a scream. "Liv! What happened?!"
"A Minotaur attacked."
"Where are you?"
"Near the back where the forest is. I think I had left camp while hiking. I felt a barrier shake me."
"Oh my gods! I'll get Chiron!"
"Thanks."
The Iris message flicked off. The tree kept crushing me. I couldn't breathe. The horn to the hip was deep enough so that it practically sliced my stomach.
Tears rolled down my cheek. I cried quietly until they came. Chiron, Nyssa, Connor, Travis, and Butch all came. They lifted the tree, and Butch carried me out. I winced as my wounds began to sting. I balled my hand into a fist and bit down on it.
Chiron carried me on his back. My siblings gathered around me back at the camp. I was taken to the infirmary. Chiron looked at me. "We found your bow but no arrows."
"I went out for a little game. I shot things as a challenge. I ran out of arrows. Where's my bow?"
He handed it to me in pieces. I gasped at its sight. "The Minotaur trampled it."
"My bow."
"I will make you a new one." Nyssa said. "It will be the best."
"Thank you."
"No problem. You deserve the best."
"I'll let you in on every prank!" Connor said.
"I'll help with the decoration of your bow." Butch added.
