Ten

Venus Cavannaugh

   

  Ethan has been so sweet towards both Marie and I. We're in his car right now on our way to a surprise he has for us.

"Where are we going Ethan?". I asked curiously happy.

  He chuckled and glanced at my direction before turning his attention back to the road.

  "Mom trust uncle Ethan he's taking us to somewhere amazing. I know it". She believed strongly.

    I can't even remember the last time Marie has been so happy or has put her trust in someone so strongly ever since Liam left us a year ago.

  She has been so happy these past few weeks and have come to know Ethan and that makes me so happy. Ethan has just amazing and caring. He hasn't stop visiting me everyday with pizzas in his hands, coming to check on me.

  No matter how much I try to convince myself to divert my alarming attraction away from him, my body can't allow it. My feelings for him continues to grow each day and part of me would be disappointed and hurt if he decides to move on from me to another girl.

  He pulled his car into the parking zone of an amusement park. Marie whistled and Yipped happily in her seat in enthusiasm. We opened the doors and came out of the car, he rushed and helped to open both I and Marie's door. As she came out she immediately hugged his legs as she wasn't tall enough.

"Thank you uncle Ethan, I'm so happy". She thanked him dearly and he smiled at her and held her hand and we walked into the park gate to buy the ticket.

  "Three tickets please". He said to the attendant at the gate.

  "Okay here are three tickets for you and your family mister". The attendant handed to Ethan.

"Umm he's not my husband". I disagreed with the attendant.

"Whatever Ma'am". She grumbled with boredom as if she'd be anywhere but here.

"Its okay let's just go in". Ethan urged pushing us lightly into the park.

    Marie rushed leaving both I and Ethan behind to run after. I don't need my crutches anymore after using it to support myself for some weeks but I still need to be careful not to do any strenuous activities.

"I'll get her just get us some snacks". He said running to get Marie back.

  I approached the cotton candy cart and bought some other snacks just in time before I saw them approaching together with Marie feeling hyper actively delighted.

"Let's go to the ferris wheel first then the merry go round then the roller coaster then th....". She rushed excitedly while dragging my dress to the nearest fun center.

"Its okay Marie we'll be on our way soon, just calm down and then we can choose where we're going". I said calming her down.

  We had fun that day and Marie couldn't just settle in one place all day. We went to the bumper cars, the thunder ride, the ferris wheel and we had fun all day till we were exhausted and it became eve time. 

  We were on our way home in the evening with Marie asleep, exhausted at the back seat of the car.

  "Thank you Ethan we had fun today thanks to you. I've never seen Marie this happy ever since....... he left". I said solemnly.

  Without turning to look at me he said,
  "I'm just happy to do it as long as you both are happy". He smiled at me satisfactorily.

  I sighed contentedly and relaxed in my seat to doze off.
