Twenty

Venus Cavanaugh.

  With my palm fisted and clenched tightly I knocked on the door in front of me. After a few seconds she opened the door finally.

"Hey Venus, what are you doing here you should have called". Zara said as she hugged me tightly before letting me go.

"I need to talk to you". I declared hitting the nail on the head.

"Oh alright come in". She opened the door wider for me to come in.

    I sat down comfortably on the chair and she sat beside me. She looked at me strangely and asked if anything was wrong. I couldn't even answer her I have been trying hard to hold myself from crying and breaking down in front of both him and Marie but I was doing this for her.

  "Zara I need your help. Liam is cheating on me and I want to find out who he's cheating on me with". I rushed out frantically.

   She was frozen in a state of shock, she just blinked in surprised anger and held onto her chest. She couldn't even speak, she stood up and started pacing to and fro the room.

  "So you're saying practically that Liam is a cheating bastard". She said furiously looking directly at me and I nodded weakly.

"I can't believe that he could do this, that fool!! After everything that you've done for him,even battling your feelings with Ethan my God he's dead when I lay my hands on him". She roared out angrily.

   "Zara calm down" I said trying to appease her.

"How can you tell me to calm down after everything he's done". She shouted.

I sighed, "I came here for your help Zara please calm down, I can't find out who the woman is without evidence that's why I came to you for help".

"Thank you for telling me, how did you find out and when?". She asked.

"It was a few weeks ago when he received an anonymous text on his phone from a contact named 'K' and then last night I overheard his phone call when he was speaking with a woman named Katherine and he told her that he loved her and that's when I confirmed it". I narrated.

"That bastardized bafoon. He going to get it from me". She fumed.

"I managed to copy the persons phone number but it seems that the person uses a different state line than ours maybe we can track the person down". I suggested.

"That's a great idea but I don't know how to do that". She said. And after a few minutes of pondering she lifted her brows excitedly having a great idea in place. "Why don't we ask help from Ethan?".

   My face fell knowing how sensitive my relationship with Ethan was at the moment after not speaking with him for a long period of time now.

"No Zara we can't, it's a personal matter remember?". I reminded her.

"We don't need to tell him that it's about you, I can do the talking just maybe he can use his police tracker to find out who Katherine is and where she stays". She said out excitedly.

   After some convincing from Zara, I agreed to ask for Ethan's help in tracking down who this mysterious woman was. She took out her phone and made little taps before she placed the phone to her ear.

  "Hey Ethan, yes it's me Zara.... I need your help.... Can you help me find someone it won't take you time....please....no just the person's number...thanks I'll text it to you.....its a personal matter Ethan.....". After some time she looked at me and then away.

"Venus Is fine...she's still concerned about you...okay I will...thanks a lot I'll send it over". She said last then cut the line.

   She sent the text to Ethan's number and then she dropped it on the table.

"He still asks of you don't worry it'll all be over soon".

"Thanks Zara I don't know what I would have done without your help". I said to her teary eyed.

"Don't worry what are friends for". She said heartily. "If your suspicions are true and Liam is cheating on you what are you going to do".

   "Zara it's tough thinking about what's going to happen, maybe possibly an end to our marriage, I guess my only concern is Marie and how she's going to feel after being seperated from him for sometime now". I told her sadly.

"Don't worry you'll get through this and then you can kick his ass out the door". She replied joked as we laughed together. 

  After sometime, a ding ringed on her phone showing a notification of message which she has recieved. She picked it and read the information written on it and she smiled and looked at me knowingly.

  "He has sent it already and it seems like she's from Florida and a single mom, I have her address. Its time we took a little girl's trip to Florida". She smirked.

  I left her house thankful for the help that we have gotten to reveal Liam's real self. My mind darted to Ethan once again, he helped us when we needed it the most even though he did it unknowingly. He is so sweet and gentle and helping to others that need him the most. It makes me just fall in love with him even more.

  I got home to see that Liam has already picked Marie up from school and they were playing a game together. The sight of them together made my heart clench in pain, to seperate Marie from her father is something I would never think of doing but I need to find out the truth.

  "I'll be upstairs if you need me and Liam I need to talk yo you later okay". He just hummed and glanced at me once.

  I went upstairs and sat on the bed and started packing a few clothes that I'll need for the journey ahead.

"Liam its time to reveal your wicked ways!". I said to myself in anticipated fear and excitement at the same time preaparing for the trip ahead of me.
