Tyler shifted around awkwardly in his seat as he waited for Jenna to start speaking, because he had no idea what was going on.  Anne sat across from him in a red embroidered arm chair. She sat with her arms crossed and legs close together, her gaze staying low.

"I called this meeting because Anne..." Jenna trailed off, taking a deep breath and continuing. "Josh found Anne cutting in the bathroom" she said, swallowing the lump in her throat.

"Um" Tyler began. "Can I ask why you did that Anne?" He still couldn't bring himself to look at her. It hurt him that she was harming herself, because he saw himself in her. Scars were still prominent on his body, and he constantly thought of relapsing. He didn't want that for her, but he didn't know how to approach the situation.

Anne just sat there, now playing with the sleeves of her hoodie. She began crossing and uncrossing her legs awkwardly, noticing the blood spots from through her pants and trying to cover them up as best as she could.

"Anne" Jenna said, in almost a whisper. "Please tell us what's going on" she finished.

"Robbie" Anne signed, still not looking up to see her parents staring everywhere except directly at her.

"I'll get him" Tyler said, standing up immediately.

"No" Jenna said, quickly. "I will. You stay with Anne"  she then exited the room to look for the oldest sibling, leaving the room in silence.

"I hate myself" a robotic voice took Tyler out of his trance. Anne's iPad began speaking for her.

"I hate how everyone has a place in this family but I don't. And Jenna tries to include me, but we all know it doesn't work. And you hate me. And Robbie forgot about me. And I cut because I want to feel nothing. I just want to die all the time. And no one noticed until now" her fingers hovered over the keyboard, not knowing what else to type next. She tiptoed around these words and this is the most subtle way she could put it.

"I'm sorry." Tyler breathed. "It's partially my fault. Well mostly my fault. I just didn't know how to react around you. You are the exact copy of me at your age. Dressing in black, never keeping eye contact, barely smiling. Except you don't choose not to speak, and sometimes I wish I had that option before I started writing music. You do have a place, we just haven't find it because we haven't looked. I haven't looked. And for all that I'm sorry"

Anne tried to hold it together, but she just couldn't. She began crying, and the saddest part was that she made no noise or whimper. You couldn't even tell she was in distress until you looked her directly in the face. And Tyler did.

"You don't have to hate yourself. Because we don't hate you. You've never done anything wrong. You brought your brothers together. You brought me and Jenna closer to each other. You don't deserve to feel any of this, and I'm sorry you do" Tyler stood up and walked over to the arm chair. He enveloped Anne into a hug and rubbed her back as she cried.

"I found Robbie" Jenna said, bursting through the door. She then turned around and shut the door behind her, knowing that Anne was in good hands.

"You are worth something. You have so much to say, I can feel it. So how about I say it for you?" Tyler whispers, and Anne looks up and nods. She moves her hands to sign 'thank you', and Tyler knows exactly what she's saying without hesitation.
