Chapter 3

Percy's p.o.v
After everyone left i started getting ready for Annabeths and my date. Now I don't normally wear a suit but tonight was special. I put on a really nice grey suit with a dark blue tie. I combed my hair and brushed my teeth.
Finally I walked out of my room and into the family room where Paul and my mom were sitting. "How do I look" I asked them. My mom stood up and started straightening my tie. "You look so handsome." I smiled "thanks mom. Hey how much are flowers?" "About 10-20 dollars" Paul spoke up. "Thanks man" I grabbed my wallet and headed out the door.
I ran to the nearest flower shop and tried my best to pick flowers she would like. I'm not the most romantic guy but hey I try. I ended up with some white lilies and white roses. I paid for the flowers and headed out to the car. I started driving to annabeths house, I knew the location by heart.
   I parked in the driveway and got out. I took a deep breath. A wave of nervousness flooded over me. I'd had been through so many things I've seen the worst of the worst and yet I was scared of a little date. I just want it to be perfect. I love to make her happy and see her smile and laugh. Gods I love her when she left it felt like a part of me was missing like my brain had been flipped.
   I exhaled one more time and headed to the door. I rang the bell and waited. Her dad answered. "Hey Percy, good to see ya" he said. "Hey mr chase. How are you?" We just made small talk and he told me about their trip. Annabeth walked down the stairs. She looked so beautiful. She was wearing a grey dress. The fabric made an x across her chest. It was about knee length. Her blond hair fell over her shoulders. She was wearing pearl earrings and a pearl necklace. She wasn't wearing much makeup, which I loved. She looks so pretty natural.
   I just stared at her. I couldn't speak. She looked so dam beautiful.  "I'm going to leave" her dad said before walking away. I rushed to her, cupped her face and just kissed her. I couldn't possibly explain what I was feeling. I pulled away our faces inches apart. She smiled "You look gorgeous. I'm the luckiest demigod ever" I told her. I handed her the flowers I got her. "Oh and these are for you" she laughed and put them aside. That dam laugh made me want to lose my mind. In a good way, her laugh was perfect.
    She grabbed my hand and said "you clean up pretty nicely too seaweed brain. Are you ready?" I nodded and we headed out the door. We drove to our location.
