Percy's p.o.v
It was about 6am when I heard a voice calling me. I looked up and realized my mom was standing in the doorway. I used my free arm (the other one wrapped around annabeth) and rubbed my eyes. "Mom, what are you doing" I asked. "Come here" she said as she walked up to me. "Okay gimme a sec" I replied. I moved trying to get out of the bed. Annabeth awoke, and opened her eyes groggily. "Perc what are you doing" she said half awake. "Don't worry about it, go back to sleep." I told her as I kissed her forehead. "Mm hm" she replied not fighting the idea because well if I had the chance to sleep more I would. I turned around and came face to face with my mom. "Who would have thought you were boyfriend material" she said jokingly. I laughed. I then followed my mom out into the kitchen and we sat down. "So um what did you need me for at 6am?" I asked her. "I dunno, just wanted to talk I guess, things have been so hectic with Essie lately I needed a break. But I kinda feel bad for sending her to her grandparents. Should I not have done that?" she asked. I reached out and grabbed her hand. "Mom trust me it is 100 percent ok to have a break. I get it, besides Essie not even gonna remember this." I said. "For getting kicked out of so many schools I'm surprised you know what a percentage is." She said smiling. "Ow" I replied joking. "So are you excited to go to college?" She asked me. I beamed "I can't wait" I said. My mom smiled. "Percy after everything you've been through you really deserve this, you deserve to be happy." I smiled. "Thanks mom" I said hugging her. We talked for about another hour. It was nice having my mom to talk to again. Paul walked out of the bedroom. "Hey do you have work today?" my mom said t him. "Morning" he said back. He paused, "I'm off all day" he said before walking back into his room. "He's been even more stressed than me, he'll probably go back to sleep." Mom said.  Not even minutes later annabeth walked into the kitchen. She walked over to me and kissed me on the cheek "morning" she said. I smiled at her. He hair was all messy. "Nice hair" I told her. She smiled then told me to shut up. She walked past me and in stood on the other side of the counter. I pulled out my laptop and opened it to a page of a place I found on the internet. It was a water park but floating on the water, here in New York. "We're going to this" I told her. She walked over to see what I was looking at. My mom laughed. "No" she said laughing. "Yes" I told her. I looked at her with my puppy dogs eyes. "Fine" she huffed. "But you can't rig it with your magical water powers" she said jokingly. "Deal" I told her. As we high fived. "Are you coming?" I asked my mom. "Not doing the floaty thing but Paul and I can just sit on the beach and relax, it'll be nice." She said.

We got ready (put on swim suits)and headed there. We all got out of the car and walked through the parking lot to the beach. It was empty. "Oh by the way I have a connection with someone who owns this place and I got the whole place to ourselves." I said proudly. "You did not" my mom said smiling. She and Paul dashed and set up a place on the beach. "Show off" Annabeth said jokingly. I laughed. We took off our clothes so we would only be in our bathing suits. Annabeth was wearing a army green holster top with matching bottoms. The bathing suit made her grey eyes and blonde hair pop,she looked gorgeous. I looked at her we both nodded and ran into the water.
