Chapter 5

Percy's p.o.v

I barely left annabeth speechless. So I always took advantage of the times I did. I couldn't stop smiling. We kept on walking around this amazing sea place. I first found this place when I was helping some nearby dolphins and other sea animals. I immediately thought that annabeth would love it. That's when I got the idea to take her here for our anniversary. And the great thing was that this place was basically empty so we had it all to ourselves.
We walked hand in hand looking for the picnic basket I had brought here earlier. We sat in the middle of this huge open temple thing.
I looked at annabeth before handing her her food. She looked beautiful with the blue sea behind her. Two of my favorites things in one place. We sat down and unpacked everything.

    Annabeth turned to me. "Percy this is wonderful. It all means so much." I smiled and leaned closer to her. "I knew you would like this place. It's cool isn't it."
"It's more than cool seaweed brain it's stupefying, sumptuous, i..it's grandiose!"
"Ok I barely understood half of that sentence, English please." She looked so happy.
"I'm messing with you Percy. This is amazing"
She leaned in and planted a soft sweet kiss on my lips. That made listening to all those big words worth it. Kidding. Well kinda.
We ate and talked and enjoyed each other's company for the rest of the meal. It was getting kinda late so we left the temple and walked around for awhile. She kept just telling me facts on all the architecture. And how there structural support and other things were amazing. My ADHD kinda struck in while she was talking so I didn't really pay attention. Believe me i tried. Anyway we walked around for about an hour. "Hey babe we should probably get heading back to the surface" she whimpered but sighed as a sign of giving in. Truth be told I was kinda getting worried about her being underwater for so long. I didn't want something bad to happen. Of course I would never let anything bad happen to her but still. I formed an air bubble around us and we floated to surface. When we finally reached land I looked at my watch and realized we still had time. It was about 11 and we were driving back at 12. When your a demigod and risk being killed almost every day your parents let you stay out later.
We sat in the sand watching the waves roll in. I had placed the blanket we used for dinner on the sand. I had annabeth wrapped in my arms. She leaned the back of her head against my chest and closed her eyes. I kissed her on the top of the head and closed my eyes too. The waves were so relaxing. It kinda reminded me of the time we fell asleep aboard the Argo II. I smiled at the memory. Annabeth moved her head and spun around so we could be face to face. She studied my face. "Thank you" she said before leaning in and kissing me. I pulled her close and she kissed me on the cheek. "Anything for you wise girl"
