Chapter 15

Percy p.o.v

A couple of weeks have gone by since annabeth  and I first arrived at camp. I was just about to head to bed when someone iris messaged me. It was my mom. I picked up, she was holding Essie.
"Hey mom, what's up" I asked
"Hey so Percy I'm sending Essie away to your grandparents for 4 days and I was wondering if you wanted to come visit Paul and I. We miss you, we can have a weekend full of fun I promise. And ask annabeth if she wants to come too, she's kinda part of the family."my mom said. I blushed at the last part but I could tell my mom just wanted to have a weekend with her family, and get a break from constantly caring for an infant. "Yeah mom that sounds great, I'll ask annabeth, I'll see you in two days." Driving to my moms house took a long time, you had to drive a lot then stay at a hotel, then drive even more. I decided I would ask annabeth if she wanted to come with me in the morning.
The next morning...
I got up and went to look for annabeth. I wandered around and eventually found her at the sword training arena. She was doing a one v one with an Aphrodite child. I'm not gonna lie annabeth looked gorgeous. I loved watching her fight. I always knew what she was gonna do next. She disarmed the girl then punched her in the face. Wow I had never seen that one before. She then swept her leg under her feet knocking her on the ground. She held her sword to her throat. Finally the Aphrodite child put her hand up as a 'you win' type of signal. Annabeth moves her sword and held out her hand to help the kid up. Annabeth walked to one of the side benches and took a drink of water.
This was my chance, I walked up to her. "Hey rocky you did amazing." I said. She laughed. "Why'd you punch that girl?" I asked. "She was being an ass to my cabin, kinda deserved it." She said. I laughed. That's my girl, you don't mess with her. "Hey my mom invited us to stay with her for 4 days" I said. Annabeths eyes lit up as she looked at me. I smiled. "I would love to, when do we leave?" She asked. "Probably later tonight, I gotta go tell Chiron now. Pack your bags then meet me after dinner on half blood hill, I'll find a ride." I said "ok" she said. I pecked her on the lips and ran to the big house to tell Chiron.
