14. Friends?

Aubrey was watching Gossip Girl when Chloe came home from her date with Jesse. chloe puts her coat away and sits down next to her bestie. "What episode are you watching?"

"Season one, the one where Dan tells Serena he loves her." Aubreys says without looking away from the screen. "Ah yes, I love that episode." Chloe snuggled up to Aubrey and they watched the rest of the episode together. The bestfriends have watched Gossip Girl already more then seven times so they can basically tell you all the lines even before there said. What can they say, they just love it.

The cute scene between Dan and Serena or shall we say D an S has arrived. The girls were mouthing along with the words.

"That is why, because I actually like it when you interrupt me, which is often by the way."

As Dan is telling all his reasons Chloe is thinking about Beca. She wonders if Beca also likes it when Chloe is interrupting her. When Serena finally says it back Chloe's eyes are filled with tears. Aubrey isn noticing that the redhead is sniffing.

"Hey, Chlo? Are you okay?" Chloe sits up and looks at Aubrey with her teary eyes. Aubrey takes her in embrace and hugs her. "Ah honey, come here."

"I thought things with Jesse were going alright, did something happen tonight."

"Things with Jesse are fine." Chloe lied. She feels trapped in her relationship and doesn't love him nor will she ever. "But why are you crying then Chlo?"

"We ran into Beca and she kissed me." Chloe says softly almost inaudible knowing what is going to happen.

"SHE DID WHAT, I SWEAR THAT GIRL URGGHH!" Aubrey got furious. (as expected)

"Calm down! it is not like I stopped her. "

"Oh, wow Chloe. Do you still like her" Aubrey asks with a much calmer voice.

"no I don't like her Bree, I love her. I still do. " Chloe bursts into tears again. "It hurts Bree, it hurts."

"I know honey, come here" Aubrey hugs her until she is calmer and ready to talk. "Did you tell her?"

"No, I ... I can't"

"Why not, I don't understand" Aubrey is confused, but she still doesn't know about Richard and the threats he has been sending.

"I want to, I really do, but I.." Chloe sighs. "Can't." Chloe looked away, she doesn't want to ly to her friend, but she also can't tell the truth. If Aubrey knew what her father was doing all hell would go loose.

"Why don't you go to bed, Chlo. Sleep over it and you know that if you do want to talk you can always come to me right."

"Yes I know, thank you Bree. For tonight." Chloe gives a sweet friendly kiss on the cheek and then goes to bed.

Beca has been talking with Stacie all night long. They are talking about Chloe. Beca was opening up again and it was all, because of the redhead. She has that effect on the brunette. "Stace what do I do?" Beca was desperate.

"It depends on what you want Becs?"

"I know I can't live without her. I mean look at me, drinking all day, not going out, I am a mess. I need her in my life, even as friends. I NEED HER."

"Well, that is what you got to tell her Mitchell." Beca knows she is right. "You know what, I am gonna text her right now, ask her if she wants to talk."

"Proud of you Becs" Stacie smiles. Beca smiles back and walks towards her room.

"Wait one more thing, shouldn't you tell Aubrey about the scars?" Stacie was still concerned about that. It seemed that Chloe can't live without Beca either.

"I don't know, Aubrey would probably just freak out. Let me talk to Chloe first and if that doesn't work I'll tell Stacie I promise. "

Chloe woke up, made some breakfast and sits down at the kitchen table. She opens her phone.

Hey Chloe. I would really like to talk to you about what happened. Will you please meet me x Beca

At first she wants to reply no immediately. If her father found out, she can't even think about what he will do. Then there is Jesse, Chloe is really confused. But after giving it a little more thought she decides to go. She is just going to tell her to stay away. That way Beca will be safe.

Okay. When and where?

She gets an reply immediately.

Our place in an hour.

Chloe knows exactly what the brunette means and grabs her stuff. She writes a note for Aubrey saying she is out for some coffee and then she leaves.

Beca was early and waiting for Chloe in 'their place' better known as the coffee place. She sees Chloe through the window and suddenly gets nervous. She knows she wants the redhead back in her life, but she doesn't know if Chloe wants it too.

"Hi" Chloe says while sitting down. "Hey" There is an awkward silence, but after a few seconds they both start talking. "I'm sorry" "I'm sorry" they laugh at each other.  "You start" Beca offers. "No, you asked me to come so you start" Chloe smiles softly.

"Okay, uhm I want to start with apologising. I am so sorry for what happened at the restaurant, bar thing. I shouldn't have kissed you, you have clearly moved on and you're with that Jesse guy. I know I shouldn't have, but I just missed you I guess. Uhhmm this is hard for me, I'm sorry but Chloe I still love you and I know you don't love me back. But I would like you back in my life.  Even just as friends, I need you. I have been like shit these past couple of weeks, drinking not taking care of myself. All because I miss you so much. So I guess my question is if you maybe want to be friends again, or just hang out once in a while. Because I need you Chloe Beale. I need you in my life."

Chloe hasn't said a thing during the whole speech Beca gave. Her mind is on over drive. Inside Chloe's mind: She says I have moved on, if she only knew. I still love her too. I want to hug her, kiss, her, touch her and feel her. I don't want to be friends again, I want to be with her, I want her to be my girlfriend. I guess friends might be possible though, it's close enough. It's kind of a loophole, my father said I can't be with her, but he said nothing about friends. This might be a good idea. And I can't live without her either, clearly. (touches one of her scars). I need her.

"Chloe?"

"Okay" Chloe says as she her bubble of thoughts bursts.

"Okay what?" Beca looks confused at Chloe.

"okay let's be friends again" A smile appears on Chloe's face and Beca smiles back immediately. "Chloe you have know idea how much I need this, thank you"

"I think I do" Chloe smirks and Beca chuckles.

"Friends hang out right, you want to hang out some time this week" Beca says carefully not wanting to push too much. "How about right now" Chloe gives a smirks, grabs her coat and walks towards the door of the coffee shop.

Chloe turns around to find Beca smirking at her. "Well are you coming shorty?"

"Oh you did not just said that" Beca grabs her coat and rushes after Chloe. "Beca one thing though"

"yes anything Red."

"can we not tell anyone about this. I just don't want people judging us." Chloe makes up. This way her dad won't find out she thinks.

Beca doesn't completely understand why it has to be a secret, but she doesn't care. As long as she has Chloe everything will be alright. "Sure it will be our secret Red"

"For the record I missed you calling me Red" Chloe smiles softly.

"Me too Red, me too" Beca smiles back.

Will Beca and Chloe ever be more than friends again? What will happen with Chloe's dad? What will happen with Jesse, Stacie and Aubrey? This story might just be not over yet!
