 Quick Note: I accidentally uploaded the wrong chapter before. That was unpublished... this is supposed to be the actual chapter. I really need to get more sleep lol

  "Tikki, spots off." Ladybug whispered. I started freaking out internally. She was revealing her identity to me, right here, right now. How did she know where I was staying? Then, the magic faded, and I realized. She lived here, with me. Standing before me was Marinette herself. Her eyes were still closed, and she looked nervous. "Chat... I would've felt incredibly horrible if I had just left you to go to patrol, after you had told me everything." she breathed, "I want you to know, that you can trust me, that you can tell me absolutely anything, and that I'm here for you." she slowly opened my eyes, and I was rendered speechless, "C-Chat Noir," she stuttered, before sighing a little, "I don't wish to know who you are right now, because I want to help you return to your civilian self. I also don't want you to ever feel like you need to assist me, because I summoned you. I want you to live as normally as you can, and any choice you make from here on out, I respect. A-All I ask, is that you don't tell a single soul who I am, behind the mask."
   "Marinette... I'd never leave you." I whispered. She started tearing up, and I ran up to her, and hugged her, "I'm so happy, it was you the whole time. I'm so happy," I sniffed, tears filling my eyes, "I'm crying right now. I'm not leaving you." I looked in her eyes.
   "You're not?"
   "No." I cried, "Never, I could never leave you. I want you to help me, I need to be here, with you, I can't let you go. Not ever."
   "Chat..." she smiled, and sobbed, "Oh, Chat, I want you help you so badly, you have no idea."
   "I know." I cupped her face, "Marinette, please, stay with me. We can do this, together. We can save Paris, and stay together."
   "Together..." she smiled, "Y-Yeah, I'd love that."
   "You would?"
   "Of course." she kept sobbing, "I-I need you here. I want to help you, we need you get you back, I need to get you back. B-But no more secrets... until we fix you."
   "Deal." I hugged her again, and she sobbed, holding me tight,
   "You're really happy it was me?" she sobbed.
   "I've never been happier." I cried, "Please, don't doubt yourself."
   "I won't, never again." we embraced for what felt like eternity, but in a good way. I didn't want to leave, I didn't want her to leave. Marinette was Ladybug, and Ladybug was Marinette. They were the same person. "I want to go with you to your after-hour class tomorrow." she let go, "Who have you been seeing?"
   "A teacher I was recommended to. She teaches some of your classes, Ms. Mendeleiev." I answered.
   "R-Really?" her eyes widened, "She's been helping you?"
   "Yes." he answered, "You know, it's strange, you now know how I feel..."
   "I'm not going to let that affect what we have." I answered, "I just wish you could've told me sooner. It's awful, you've been feeling this way for so long, and I was blind."
   "You weren't blind, I was hiding it on purpose. You were going through a lot, and I didn't want to burden you with more problems."
   "You'll never burden me, Chat." she held my hands, "Come on, we have a big day tomorrow then, don't we?" she asked me.
   "Yeah, we do." I chuckled.
   "Well, goodnight, Kitty." she tilted her head to the right, "We're gonna figure it out. Don't worry." she turned around, and headed to her bedroom. I sighed, turning around. I wanted so badly to just cup her face and kiss her at that very moment. My heart was beating a million times a minute. The person I had loved for 3 and a half years, was the same person I had fallen in love with for these last 6 months. I smiled a little, realizing I had fallen for the same person twice.
   "Well, well," Plagg consumed my thoughts, "Didn't think you'd figure it out."
   "What do you mean? You knew?!" I asked him.
   "Well, duh!" he answered, "I can feel another Kwami's presence. It's too bad, she can't see me either." he sighed. I remembered, Plagg was stuck with me, too. He was affected by this whole thing as well. I was being selfish.
   "You know Ladybug's kwami?"
   "I've known her since the beginning of time. She was the first Kwami to be created. I was the second."
   "That's so cool... I'm so sorry you can't see her."
   "No, it's okay. She can feel me nearby, too."
   "She can?"
   "Yeah, I'm not worried." Plagg chuckled, "So, you're happy with who Ladybug is?"
   "I've never been happier." I answered, "B-But, this whole time, it was her... I'm starting to feel really stupid."
   "Are you?" he snickered.
   "Yeah, no one else has big blue eyes and two ponytails... you know, looking at it, it was painfully obvious." I groaned.
   "It's not your enough. This type of magic is supposed to protect your identities, you're not dumb."
   "I never said I was!" I exclaimed. Plagg laughed, as I fumed. The night went by quickly, and the whole time I slept, I couldn't stop thinking about how Marinette was Ladybug, and how I had found myself in love with both of them on separate occasions. Ladybug might've been lucky, but this time I felt luckier.
   The next morning, we rushed. Marinette would not only be attending her usual school day, but she'd also be meeting Ms. Mendeleiev to discuss my situation. She wanted me to not act as a familiar, but I told her that if I weren't to do so, I'd be caught as Chat Noir in no time. We needed to still keep my secret, as well as hers. The day flew by, and then we both headed to Ms. M's classroom after school. Marinette held me in her arms, and Ms. M closed the door, making sure the room was secure. I transformed, and Ms. M smiled,
   "I'm assuming you told Marinette of your situation, then?"
   "Yeah, he did." she answered, protecting her superhero identity, "He told me everything, and I want to help."
   "Marinette, this isn't easy." Ms. M explained, "I've been looking at his case for a while now, and I even needed to look into his history as a means of explaining what could've happened to him. Chat, are you okay with me explaining this part of the situation with her?"
   "Yes?"
   "Marinette, do you want your family history to be private, or do you not mind Chat hearing it?"
   "I don't mind him hearing it." she answered.
   "Great, let me show you something." Ms. M rolled down the same chart I saw when we were explaining what was happening. "Every Witch and Wizard goes through a Uncovering... it's required that when you graduate, you cast this spell to determine what kind of magical capabilities you have as a young magic user. With many commonalities, come rarities. In Chat's case, he comes from a line of Disguisers and Spell-Makers. Disguisers have the ability to disguise themselves and take on another form. Spell-Makers are the foundation of your everyday textbooks, and knowledge of the magic we have today. My assumption is that when Chat muttered something under his breath about wanting to Chat Noir forever, it created an unknown spell, and converted him into not only the superhero "Chat Noir", but a literal black cat as well. This is where you could come into play. Marinette, what you might not know about your past, is that you come from a long line of Weavers and Caretakers. Weavers are very rare. They have the ability to look into someone's eyes, and determine what kind of magic they use. From there, Weavers can learn that person's spells, and use them to cast and reverse spells."
   "Reverse spells, that I didn't cast?" I asked her.
   "It's very possible. However, your lineage is very, spread out. None of your parents have magic power, and neither do your grandparents. Your magic comes from those of your ancestors, and the stuff they had, might not match what you have, because of the time frame."
   "What does this have to do with Chat?"
   "The thing Chat and I came to terms with was that you didn't summon a familiar, because you were able to summon Chat instead...  this I have no clue about."
   "Well, if that were the case, we'd need to know what kind of spell you put on yourself, Chat." I turned to him, "Did you ever ask yourself how you were feeling when you fell under the spell, or maybe what you said exactly? We all know, emotions can affect how a spell works. You have to be completely absorbed in yourself and no outside problems when you work with magic."
   "I didn't think about that," Chat sat down, "I remember I was really upset. I had gotten into a fight with my father about my schedule, and I just remember feeling like no one could understand me. No one knew how I was feeling, or knew what kind of life I had..."
   "You were feeling alone." Ms. Mendeleiev turned to her board, "So, you were feeling emotions of loneliness, and from that, you cast a spell to become someone who was never alone. This is making sense to me," she wrote it down, and turned to me, "Who were you thinking about?"
   "I-I..." I thought about it, and Plagg was talking to me.
   "You were thinking about Ladybug, how if you were Chat Noir, you'd never need to worry because she was someone who you always saw as Chat Noir, and that you wouldn't be alone around her."
   "Ladybug." I answered, "I was thinking about how if I could just stay as Chat Noir, I could just talk to Ladybug, the person I loved at the time, and I wouldn't have to worry about anymore stress or loneliness." I saw Marinette's face drop.
   "I know why I summoned him, then."
   "Why?" Ms. Mendeleiev turned to me, "Why, Marinette?"
   "B-Because, I am her." she admitted.

~~~~~~
   Ooooh things are happening! But, how will Ms. M and Adrien react to Marinette admitting her secret? Find out in the next chapter, I guess! Anyways, I'm uploading this right after my first "official" day of school... it was a hoot and a half, I must admit. The two new teachers I met seem to be pretty okay, and the rest of the teachers are ones I've had previously... (including my music teacher, who I have two classes with). I have 6 classes with 1st period off, which I use to take my online Japanese... so maybe I have 7... technically? But enough about my school life, I love writing this story. I've probably said it in the past, but I just love the direction this is going, and I'm really digging the amount of thought I've put into this. This story was supposed to end at 30 parts, but I think I might have to expand it more, because there's so much stuff and so many ideas I want to incorporate. This is getting to be a pretty long note, but thank you all so, so much for reading The Black Cat! I'm going to take this weekend to try and write more of this story, so that when I really need to get into the "school mindset", I'll know I have some chapters ready to be published! I hope you all have a wonderful day or night, and I will see you all soon in the next chapter!
