   It's been a while, huh? Well, hello friends! It's me, Morgan, with another chapter. I wanna share a couple things that I think are great news, so yeah!!! For one, I MADE IT INTO ALL STATE!!! I was in the Treble Choir, and it was the best experience ever! Suddenly, I'm not so screwed for college...! That, and I've been recruited for an opera master class, so... I might go into Classical Performance... which is the biggest twist in my musical career... ever. But, enough about me, let's go to the chapter!

~~~~~~
   I patiently waited for Adrien in my room, hoping that he'd come back... and that he wouldn't be stuck at the mansion like he was for all those years. I heard the door open, and Adrien ran into the apartment.
   "Marinette?" he huffed. I ran out of my bedroom, and down the hallway. He hugged me, tightly. He was shaking.
   "Adrien, what happened, are you okay?"
   "No," he answered. "But I needed to see if you were okay. Nothing happened while I was gone, right?"
   "No, nothing happened."
   "Good. Marinette, there's something I needed to ask you."
   "Go on." I held his hands.
   "Well, my father's not leaving prison anytime soon... given his numerous crimes. I mean, people are already filing personal lawsuits for being akumatized. But, will you go with me... to the mansion? We can live there for a little until I get the funds I need to move somewhere else."
   "Of course I will, Adrien." I kissed his cheek, "You know I'm always going to be here for you, right? As both Marinette and Ladybug?"
   "Yeah, I do." he hugged me, "Thank you. I should let you know, I had to... excuse my father's assistant Nathalie, and turn her in for her crimes as well. However, my previous driver has decided to retire early, so it will be the two of us."
   "Okay. Do we need to pack up everything up then?"
   "Yes, but we can always wait. I know it's a lot to ask, suddenly finding out who I am, and then me wanting to make all of these plans, I completely understand if you're overwhelmed, or-" I interrupted Adrien with a peck on the lips,
   "Enough talking." I whispered, "I'm happy to start packing... as long as you're okay with living in that grand house."
   "Eventually... perhaps we'd need to find another place to live." he blushed, "But not until I know for sure what I get from his... will."
   "It's going that far, huh?"
   "Yes." he answered, "I honestly believe I might not get to see my father outside of a prison again, just based on his actions."
   "Adrien, I'm sorry."
   "No, you have no need to apologize. And, let's not pack now. I actually think we should go to the bakery."
   "The Bakery?" I asked him, "Why?"
   "Just to make sure. You know if what was announced is true, then your parents might be..." my eyes widened,
   "You're right."
   "Are you in condition to do it? I know you're still recovering from getting me back..."
   "No, I have to." To say I was tired was an understatement. I was exhausted beyond belief, but nothing could stop me from seeing my parents... not even this. "I have to see them."
   "Okay..." he transformed into Chat Noir, and I transformed into Ladybug, "Let's head out then." we rushed to the other side of Paris, and landed a couple blocks away from the bakery. Adrien took my hand once we returned to our civilian forms, and we walked the remaining distance. When I turned the corner, I saw an Anti-Magic Counsel car, and my parents were in the bakery. They saw me, and I immediately stepped back. Adrien stepped in front of me, and they did nothing. They just hopped into the car and drove away. I ran into the bakery, Adrien followed me, and my parents were turned towards the stair.
   "Mom? Dad?" they turned around, and my mother gasped. My father ran up to me, and hugged me so tightly.
   "Marinette, my sweet baby!" my mother cried, "You're still here?!"
   "What do you mean I'm still here? I was never taken. I called Grandma, I took the box like your note said... I'm so sorry." I sobbed.
   "No, Marinette, that was for you. We knew this was inevitably going to happen." my dad softly smiled, then looked behind me to see Adrien, "Adrien Agreste..."
   "Dad, don't worry." I assured him, "Adrien helped me this whole time."
   "He did?" my mother walked up to him, "You saved her?"
   "Save? No..." I interrupted Adrien.
   "He did." I responded, "He just won't admit it." I sniffed, "I called Grandma and got the key to her apartment, but Adrien got me to school everyday and helped me with everything... I wouldn't have made it without him."
   "Adrien... you were missing before we left, how did you...?"
   "You're right, I did go missing. I was missing. Marinette saved me too. I was under a curse." he answered truthfully, "I stayed with your daughter in an apartment on the outskirts of town... we helped each other, really. I don't deserve this credit."
   "You do." my mother hugged him, crying, "She would've been taken away, we heard everything. We were constantly threatened by them."
   "At one point, we thought that they had gotten you." my father told me, "They were telling us that they had found you, disguising yourself. We were worried sick."
   "Well, we're okay now. Ladybug was able to convince the city that magic is good..." I hugged everybody, "I think we're safe now."
   "Adrien... we heard what happened on the way back on the radio. I'm so sorry about your father. What will you do, will you be on your own?"
   "Well," he chuckled, "I already fired my father's assistant, and my other father's assistant decided it was too much and retired. I've inherited my father's... everything, so I might stay in the mansion alone, or sell it and buy an apartment to go to school with... I'm still not sure. But, I do know one thing." Adrien looked at me, "Throughout this whole experience, Marinette and I grew pretty close, and I realized that whatever happened, I can't do it without her." I blushed, and looked down, "You have an incredible daughter..."
   "I get it." my dad ruffled his hair, "Well, you are eighteen now, aren't you?" he looked at me, with slightly sad eyes, "Well, you did protect her."
   "Are you suggesting that Marinette go with you?" my mother asked, her eyes lighting up. "Oh, I knew you two would be together eventually!"
   "M-Mom!?" I turned to her, embarrassed. "B-Besides... his mansion is close to the college I want to go to... for fashion." I sighed, "I suggested it." I lied, "I don't want him to be alone, not after what happened with his father and everything."
   "No, I think it's a pretty good idea." my father answered, "And, Gabriel ahem, I presume had a lot of fashion-related things in the mansion?"
   "He has an entire room dedicated to his creations... I wanted to give it to Marinette, I have no need for the fabrics and supplies in there." Adrien admitted, "That, and I plan on going to the same school. Despite my father's wrong doings, I will be inheriting his business, and as a result, I'll need to take on the responsibility of his company..." my eyes widened,
   "Adrien, you didn't tell me that."
   "I think having Marinette with me will not only keep me sane, but she has an eye for fashion that nobody else does... and I wanted to ask you, her parents, if I could court your daughter."
   "Yes!" my mom smiled, hugging him, "Yes you can!"
   "Well... I can't argue with Sabine. Welcome to the family, Adrien."
   "Thank you." Adrien breathed a sigh of relief.
   "Oh, Adrien." I teared up, "Really, me?"
   "What on Earth do you mean by, really me?" Adrien turned to me, "Of course, you."
   "Well, you have to pack!" my mom pushed me upstairs, leaving my father and Adrien alone. "Come along now, let's pick out things to take!"
   "I took most of my stuff, back and forth, when I was hiding from the Anti-Magic Counsel. Most of my important stuff is at Grandma's."
   "That's okay. Besides, we have to talk about something, between us girls..."
   "Mom, don't embarrass me."
   "I won't. I'm extremely proud of you, Marinette."
   "You are?"
   "You've really grown... it must've been hard without me and your father around. I was a little too excited when Adrien told me all of that. I'm very happy you have a man like him in your life. Hearing he did protect you... he really did, huh?"
   "You know, I wouldn't be here without him..." I answered, "I was almost caught by the Anti-Magic Counsel, you know. He's saved me on numerous occasions."
   "Based on how he talks about you, you might've done the same for him." she kissed my forehead, and we walked into my room. I thought about what she said, and couldn't be happier. Everything felt like it was falling into place, and I needed that, after everything that happened.
   Phew!!! I would like to extend an apology to you all. My personal life has really taken a hold of me, and has distracted me really these last few years. My home life is chaotic, and I've had to move a lot, but I finally feel grounded enough to do the things I love, and writing is no exception. I plan on opening up about my personal life, and maybe publishing a book about it. Or, let me know if I should start a YouTube channel! I would love to post covers of music and stories! The things I've been going through are seriously some insane stories. I could probably start a story-time YouTube channel just about them haha! But, if y'all can rant about Season 3 in the comments I want to TALK! THERE'S SO MUCH TEA!!! But yeah! I think one more chapter and this book will be done! Thank you all for your support, and I'll see you in the next part! <3, Morgan
