Alya's mom was nice enough to make me breakfast before I left to try and find the new apartment. She made omelettes with tomatoes, spinach and a little bit of cheese in them, and it absolutely stuffed me. On the side she had cut up some fresh fruit and brewed some green tea. I got to packing, and changed my clothes. I also slipped on a hoodie, more so to please Alya than anything else. They sent me off, and I walked for just a little bit, before I was able to hide and transform into Ladybug. Now, I know it's probably weird to fly around as Ladybug with two suitcases, but I'd rather settle in sooner than later... and this was the quickest way to travel. I took the suitcases, and started heading up to the rooftops. It was further than I thought, but it was around a grand shopping center, which was really great for me, since I didn't need to travel too far to get the essentials. Her apartment was on the top floor, and it was very close to the roof's entrance, which reminded me very much of home. I landed on the roof, and transformed back to myself. I headed down from the roof, and entered the apartment. I had to fumble with the key a little bit, but I was in. It was pretty abandoned, and you could tell everything had been sitting there for a long time. It had a funky smell, but it could be fixed with a little care. Other than that, it was nice. The kitchen was much smaller, but it held enough things to get by, and the living room was definitely cozy. There was no fireplace, but there was a nice TV, and some of my Grandma's collectibles from her trips were stored on the shelves that surrounded the TV. The kitchen table was 4 seats, and had a vase of dead flowers on it. I'd have to clean that up. I headed out to the balcony that connected to the living room, and I loved it. She had some plants outside, and an outdoor love seat. I knew I'd want to grow some more plants here. I headed down the small hallway that led to both bedrooms and what I assumed was the second bathroom. I opened up the only sliding door closet in the hallway, and that was where the washer and dryer was. The smaller bathroom was definitely in need of some revamping. The decor was old-fashioned, and not something I was interested in keeping. The guest room was also in need of some redecorating. It had a maroon theme, and the bed was full-sized, but the sheets needed washed and the furniture was dusty. I headed to the master bedroom, and I think it was my favorite room. It had a light pink theme, quite similar to my bedroom at home, the bed was queen sized, and all the furniture was a really pretty white color. It had really pretty photos of flowers, and the bathroom was very similar in theme. The closet was empty... seeing as my Grandma hadn't stayed here for a long time. I decided I would start there, and unpack my suitcases. I made sure there was nothing in the bathroom as well, and the only things in there were two extra razors, 3 bars of soap, two hotel sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner, a towel, and 4 rolls of toilet paper. Well, guess I needed to make a big trip sometime. Today wasn't that day. I unpacked all of my clothes, and hung all the photos I took with me on a framed cork board in the master bedroom. I unpacked all of my sewing stuff and set up a corner in the bedroom by the small desk that she had in there, and I put my jewelry as well as my mother's in the vanity. It was very feng shui, she had put the mirror facing the window, which was something I personally liked.
"How do you like it so far?" Tikki asked me.
"Well, it's a start, but I think I'll adjust fairly quickly. This is a much better place to be in than no home at all. I was very lucky in that sense." I answered. "And as soon as I settle in, we can make cookies together."
   "Really?" she asked me.
"Sure... besides, I need to keep a jar for you somewhere in here. But, let's start with the basics, like cleaning the place up."
"What can I do?" Tikki asked me.
   "Can you dust?"
"I can certainly try." she answered.
"Thanks Tikki. You may want to start with the kitchen. I know the hardest room will definitely be the guest room. Speaking of, it's time I start washing those sheets."
"Okay." I took off the sheets in the guest room and put them in the washing machine. On top of the machines was a small shelf that held some detergent, so I poured some of it into the mix. I started my first load. After that I took off the sheets in the master bedroom, and replaced them with a spare pair of pink ones I had found underneath the bed. I threw the dirty ones in a basket, and set it by the washing machine. I headed to the kitchen and immediately threw out the dead flowers. I'd have to find something else to replace them. I scrubbed the counter tops, and put away whatever dishes she had left in the dishwasher. Fortunately, they were clean. I sorted through whatever food she had in there, and I had to throw out some nasty old produce. Tikki was done dusting by the time I got to the living room, so we both cleaned the couch. Then it was time to look at the guest room. It was okay. The furniture was fine to keep, it was all black and unharmed, but the decor was just not my style. I took it all down, and set it on the bed. I opened up the closet and to my surprise, she had kept all the boxes she had used to move into this apartment. There was also a vacuum, a broom, a dustpan, and a ton of garbage bags. I decided to keep things out like photo frames and the lamps (with the exception of the old lampshades), but other things were immediately tucked away into the closet. By the time I was done, it was around 1, and I knew I definitely needed some lunch. I locked the door and took Tikki and myself to the streets, trying to find a small cafe where I could pick up something for lunch. I had finally found one, and ordered a BLT sandwich, chips, an apple, and a chocolate chip cookie for Tikki. I took it to go, and headed right back to the apartment. Lunch went by fast, because I knew the sooner I finished cleaning and settling in, the more time I'd have to relax and focus on all the other things I needed to focus on. I was scrambling around, trying to fix up whatever I could, then I realized I needed to go out and get some new stuff for the guest room, as well as some stuff for dinner. This was when, to my surprise, I had heard a knock on the balcony's glass sliding door. Standing on the balcony was Chat. I immediately let him in, and he hugged me.
   "Princess, are you okay?"
"Yes, I've been alright, it's just been a crazy couple of days... are you okay?" I asked him, "You look a little stressed."
"I... I have some news, Princess."
   "Yes?"
"My father kicked me out of the house just now. He no longer sees me as a son, and doesn't want me to return." he quietly explained, "But I decided to see where you were, and it looks like you've really done something to-"
"Chat!" I exclaimed, "He kicked you out?"
   "Yeah, he sure did..."
"Where are you going to go?"
"That's something I haven't figured out myself." he answered. "But, it'll be okay, I can probably just spend nights at hotels, and..."
"No." I interrupted him, "Stay with me." I practically blurted out.
   "W-What?" he stuttered.
"Yeah, stay with me, Chat!" I offered, "I mean, there's another bedroom in here, and my grandmother is paying the rent... she knows I'm here. Besides, I'd probably get really lonely, and I could really use the help. I can't go outside too much, seeing as I'm currently being looked for by the Anti-Magic Counsel, and you need a place to stay..."
"You would really do that, Mari?" he asked me.
"Well, sure." I answered, "You're my friend, and I think both of us kind of need each other right now, if I'm being completely honest."
"I agree. Does this mean I'm moving in?"
"Well, yeah, I guess it does." I smiled. "Well, the guest room and the guest bathroom is all yours. However, it needs a heck of a lot of redecorating... and I need to grab a lot of essentials."
"I can do that for you." Chat offered, "Besides, you look like you have a whole lot going on over here."
"Really? Oh Chat, thank you." This was the start of rooming with not only someone else, but Chat Noir, my friend and the person I was continuing to save Paris with. What a turn of events.
