Hello, all! Time for another edition of the fan club!
Since y'all loved the first edition of the Rumor Mill, I thought it was high time to add another section! If y'll have an interesting news tip or a rumor, please share with the rest of us in the comments - I might miss some in these posts!
Let's get to it!
(I am going to try to add in other rumors from other promotions, but please let me know of any - it can be from WWE, Ring of Honor, TNA, or any indie promotion!)
Okay, this one is a little odd and kind of bullshit.
sescoops.com is reporting that WWE is considering filing a lawsuit against CM Punk.
As everyone and their grandmother knows, CM Punk left the company rather abruptly back in January the night after the Royal Rumble. He's laid low for a while, only resurfacing to get married to AJ Lee, "play wiffle ball with Bill Murray" (his words, not mine), appear on "The Talking Dead" and host the red carpet of the first annual Alternative Press Music Awards (I spazzed seeing him - he looked so happy and healthy! I'm so happy for him :) ).
Anyways, he has said that he is not coming back to WWE "never ever ever ever" (of course he had to be a cheeky little bastard about that).
Because of his actions over the last 7 months, WWE has considered filing a lawsuit against him for breach of contract.
Here's the article from sescoops.com:
"The word going around in WWE is that things may not exactly be done yet as far as the CM Punk issue is concerned.
Punk, whose WWE contract officially expired recently, noted during a recent interview that he will “never” return to WWE again.
While nothing is official at this point, there is at least some talk going around the company regarding a possible lawsuit against Punk for breach of contract.
There aren’t a lot of specific details regarding this story as of right now, however it is known that there are many people very high up in WWE who are less than pleased with how everything went down with Punk.
If and when any updates become available, we will be sure to post them here on the website."
This is why I think it's bullshit: Stone Cold Steve Austin did the same thing a long time ago. Did WWE file a lawsuit against him? Hell, no they didn't! If they had filed that lawsuit, would we see Stone Cold on our TVs and our computers on WWE programming? The answer, boys and girls, is no. Stone Cold wouldn't have come back if they had done so.
I say this to WWE: "Bring it on!" CM Punk is happy being a married man and retired. I say leave him alone and just let him go. No lawsuit, no nothing. Let him live his life without threats of lawsuits, or people asking him about wrestling. Granted, neither will happen, but I think Punk deserves to have a life outside of WWE. That's one of the reasons he left in the first place, right?
Moving on!
Okay, this next rumor comes courtesy of, once again, sescoops.com. This rumor is stating that Nikki Bella, who has been on the receiving end of numerous handicapped beatdowns ever since her twin Brie quit at Money in the Bank last month, might be turning heel.
"There is already talk of turning Nikki Bella heel against her sister, aligning her withStephanie McMahon at some point down the road in her feud against Brie Bella."
Now, the only reason that Nikki would be turning heel against Brie is because maybe she resents her twin for abandoning her for Daniel Bryan. We'll just have to see because right now, it looks like a Brie vs. Stephanie match is coming up at Summerslam.
Next rumor!
WWE has signed Japanese superstar KENTA. Now, I don't know too much about KENTA except what I've read on wwe.com, so if you have anything to add, please leave a comment! Anyway, this is coming from sescoops.com (sorry, I'm looking for other rumors and news on other sites as I type this).
"One of the key reasons that WWE signed KENTA was because the WWE Network will be expanding into Japan next year and because of that reason, they have wanted a big Japanese star.
Additionally, KENTA will play a big role in WWE’s attempt to expand their reach in the Japanese market, as NXT, where he will report to initially, just secured a deal to air on J-Sports, a Japanese satelitte channel.
KENTA is scheduled to arrive in Orlando, Florida this week. WWE has another press conference scheduled with him then."
A little tidbit about KENTA: he is the inventor of the the finishing maneuver known as the GTS. Now, we all know the GTS as the Go to Sleep, performed by CM Punk. Since Punk is no longer with the company, one has to wonder if WWE will let KENTA use that particular move. Granted, it would send the crowd into a rabid frenzy.
I think one or two more rumors, then I'll let y'all discuss amongst yourselves these rumors, as well as add anything else.
This is my first TNA post. Now, I'm not much of a TNA fan (okay, I didn't watch that much TNA, and what little I saw was enough to make me turn back to WWE), but I will add some TNA stuff later on in this book.
This rumor comes from Diva-Dirt.com via LordsofPain.net.
"Could a former TNA Knockout be featured on the next season of Tough Enough?
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer (via Lords of Pain), the WWE’s newest season of Tough Enough could feature Thea Trinidad as a competitor.
Thea, who competed in TNA and the indies as Rosita, has been appearing as one of Adam Rose‘s Rosebuds over the past few weeks.
Production on the latest season of Tough Enough, which is expected to air on the WWE Network, has been delayed due to recent budget cuts and will reportedly start in October."
Okay, this is the last rumor and then you guys can talk amongst yourselves. I will be doing another edition of the Rumor Mill soon, though!
This rumor comes from dailywrestlingnews.com. Well, the first part isn't exactly a rumor, but still. Just read it haha.
"We noted before that R-Truth and former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis have signed on with talent management company Advanced Management. The announcement confirmed that Truth is working on his hip-hop album with appearances from John Cena and Wiz Khalifa. Advanced’s Gary Reichman had the following to say:
“We couldn’t be more excited to work with both Ron and Maria. Their extraordinary personas coupled with their backgrounds in wrestling, make them unique individuals for casting. We anticipate much success with them both.”
- Eva Marie had a very rough night at the WWE NXT tapings from Full Sail University on Thursday night. She was given heat by the crowd from the moment she made her entrance and one fan commented that they “murdered her.” She made it worse by putting on a bad performance in her match against Bayley. One fan noted that they “despised her” and “first we had X-Pac Heat and now we have Eva Marie Heat.”"
Alright, that's it! That is the newest edition of the fan club! Talk amongst yourselves and comment anything else you want to add! Have fun! :D
