"How could we have gotten into a fight? We're with body guards 24/7 and when we aren't were at my house which is surrounded with security. That's impossible," I said and a few people began to laugh again, at how stupid Ms. L is.

"She's right, Lana. I think we're done here." Mr. M said and winked at me. I breathed a sigh of relief. "Just try to be less clumsy next time, ok Matthew?"

"Sounds good to me, sir," Matt said and they chuckled. He looked at me and smiled. I started to smile, but then turned away.

I will never forgive myself for letting this happen.

"Are they here yet?" Matt complained. We were sitting in my living room on the couch, him lying on his side with his head in my lap. The doctor said it would help relieve some of the pain he had while he was breathing.

 

"Do you see them?" I asked, a bit sarcastic.

 

"No..."

 

"Then they aren't here yet. Be patient."

 

"UGH," he said and rolled his eyes. We were waiting for his friends to come to my house to see him and hang out.

 

"Matt? Emily?" We hear a voice call out. Matt cranes his neck to try and look at the front door, but I put my hand on his head to stop him from hurting himself.

 

"We’re in here," I called out and the boys all filed into the room taking seats on various items of furniture and the floor. We ended up in a lopsided circle.

 

"Here," I said and helped Matt sit up. He winced and tried to cover it up, failing miserably.

 

"Bro.... What the fuck happened to you?" Nash asked. All his friends looked really concerned for him, which was sweet to see.

 

"It's a long story," he said.

 

"We have time," Cam said and Matt rolled his eyes.

 

"Basically he broke 2 ribs protecting me. It's my fault." I said. They looked at me.

 

"I knew it," Aaron said. I looked at him with wide eyes.

 

"Wait what? I was just joking and I thought you were too.... You can't be the reason Matt hurt himself, unless you're the person who beat him up," Aaron explained.
